I hope this is the correct forum for this, so here goes!

I have two bottles of Citadel Super Glue that are half full and the caps are glued shut on both of them. I am usually really obsessive about keeping the tips clean, but one was gummed up on a scenery project months ago, the other was sitting sideways for a while this weekend and I may not have put the lid on quite tight enough.

Has anyone had any luck cracking these puppies open? I tried the freezer trick (didn't work), then I tried running them under hot water (also not a win). I really just don't want to drive 45 minutes for a stupid bottle of glue. Help?

Well, I don't know if its a perceived appreciation or not, but I think GW Super Glue works great! I have had better success with it than other super glues or plastic glues. But that just may be me...

I have tried pliers, but I can't get a pair big enough to hold the part than holds the cap onto the bottle itself.

You do know its the same formula as the cheap Chinese superglue?

They just sell it in a GW bottle for extra money...

Never bought GW Superglue (even when I worked for them) as its overpriced and sticks the lid on!

You could cut the tops off and pour into an old superglue bottle if you have one as the 'dropper' section comes out.

Somewhere in south-central England.

Try acetone based nail polish remover. It should dissolve dried super glue.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
