Hi all, My army consists of leaping mutants and bloodletters. That's it. So, for my HQ, I'm in a bind: do I take a DP with tons of nastyness and aspiring champions, or do I take a bloodthirster and the aspiring champions? I might also get away with taking a DP and bloodthirster, but I'd need to add a C:SM squad and do an overhaul on the list. Ideas? cheers

Honestly, I'd ask Angron on this one; he runs a both a Bloodthirster and a Daemon Prince (Khornate) in his list.  See which he likes better.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

I'd definitely advise taking aspiring champions -- because otherwise your mutants' leadership is pitifully low.
If you want to keep all three leaping mobs (IIRC you had three) in the game as long as possible, I guess I'd go with a DP for the second hq choice -- since taking a bloodthirster would mean pulling a champion off the table and basically rendering the attached mutant mob extremely vulnerable to running off the table.
But OTOH, once the bloodthirster pops, you might feel that that mob has served its purpose anyway.
And it's nice to have the thirster as a bloodletter summoner.

Angron, IIRC, goes with the thirster and the DP, reasoning the mutants are there to die anyway, so he doesn't mind if they scatter and run.
Personally, I try to keep at least one mob in the game as long as possible, for scoring purposes if nothing else.

My first response was going to be ACs for all those mutants, but you've included that in both options. That said, I vote for the DP, cause you need to keep those ACs alive and swinging their fists and boosting their mutant buddies' leadership, and 'sploding into a Thirster makes that a bit hard for at least one of them ...

Nice to see the heavy use of leaping mutants, and I like the trim, non-Imperial evil of the list. Love to hear how it works out for you.
