It's an okay conversion, but if a model is an important piece of an army you want it to stand out more.

Besides the boltgun on the back, after all, the only thing making him stand apart from any other Catachan is really that his arm is painted metallic.

It's a good attempt, maybe a little more uniqueness and it would be pretty good but You know who it is without labels, so at least you conversion didn't obscure who he is

Looks pretty good, just needs some more 'oomph' to stand out as your CO.

Also, I'm a little curious why you wouldn't use the actual Straken model if you're playing a Catachan army, cause it is a sweet model.

Hah, that's so simple, I would never have thought to do it.

I agree that it could use some up-blinging to make him look more like an officer, but he definitely has the straken thing going on.

Nice clean paint job but a little simple for a 'special' character. Would work well as a proxy to try out the rules.

I wouldn't really call that a conversion; aside from the gun that's just any old Catachan sergeant. Even then, the arm painted silver isn't terribly convincing. He'd be a fine sergeant, but anything above that I'm not buying. Paintjob is decent enough though. You could try using the bionic power sword arm from the Cadian command squad, which would go a long way.

Good idea, but the pose is quite weak and the general feel is not particularly heroic. I'd personally try and go for something a little fancier for my army commander.

I'm not feeling it I'm afraid. I get the impression that he's either a bit rushed, or is still a WIP. Definitely not 'special' enough for an army commander/special character.
