I painted this guy just to break up commissions a bit. He is converted from an Ungor model. The base is a lid from a cosmetics pot (from Primark, nice and cheap ).

Lovely, or horrible depending on your viewpoint. Beastmen look like great base models for plague bearers.
Were the hump, belly and eye green stuffed on?

Thanks I was thinking about perhaps making a battle scene with plague bearers in, employing a similar conversion style.... maybe making them fatter

He looks properly wretched! Inspired choice of base model for that conversion. Really works! I like the colour scheme you went for as well. I think the more natural skin tones make it look more sinister and creepy than just straight out green.

How did you achieve the saliva effect hanging from its mouth? That's really cool...!

The saliva was simply tamiya clear (the clear one without colour). You put a dollop on your pallet, get a hair dryer and aim it at the tamiya clear for about 30 seconds (maybe longer), then the tamiya should have a skin. Get an old paint brush (maybe a toothpick) and carefully dip it in and scoop up a tiny bit, this will drag some of the skin with it creating a strand. Then stick one end to the mouth and the other end to the belly
I hear this can be done with water effect from woodland scenics, i need to give this a try

Really like that.
It's got an old school JohnBlanche feel to it.
Great base and metal on the sword.
- Will have to pick up some Tamiya clear, that tip'll come in handy :}

i think this model is incredible. kept very simple to good effect, and the colours compliment the model perfectly. i'd love to see more of these in the future.
