I agree, would rather wait for good stuff than get some more crap stuff in the meantime.

Agreed also. I did notice the Chira is so far off it's not even mentioned once.

My concern is that as items are completed and dribble in they'll just sit on them for months (or a year or more?) until it all gets in so they can ship it in a single second wave.

What’s happening at the Mantic Open Day! April 25, 2017 

The Mantic Open Day is fast approaching, so we wanted to give you a run down of exactly what you’ll be able to do during the day… plus we want to announce a very special FREE gift for all those that attend. You better read on to find out more…

1.FREE ENFORCER INTERCEPTOR

That’s right! Attendees will get either a free Warpath Enforcer Interceptor worth £24.99*. Honestly, we’re not kidding! We want to get the Warpath word out there and one of the best ways is showing off the awesome vehicles, which aren’t hitting retail as individual purchases until June.

2.LEE AND CLEMENTINE BOOSTER FOR THE WALKING DEAD: ALL OUT WAR

The Lee and Clementine Booster sold out within an hour at Salute, so we’re expecting it to be popular during the Mantic Open Day too. We’ll have limited stock available during the event, so you’ll need to get here nice and early. For those of you who can’t make it, you’ll be able to pre-order the Lee and Clementine booster on our website all weekend, along with Wave Two of The Walking Dead, both of which will ship towards the end of the month once Kickstarter backers have received their goodies.
3.PLAY STAR SAGA WITH STEWART OUR STUDIO MANAGER

Can you beat our resident evil overlord Stewart? Throughout the Open Day you’ll have the chance to play one of the Star Saga scenarios to see if you can beat Stewart, although the chances are slim, to be honest. Plus, we’ll have the painted Star Saga miniatures on display during the day for you to drool over.
4.MULTIPLAYER WALKING DEAD ARENA DEATH MATCH BATTLE ROYALE!

In the post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead, it’s every survivor for themselves! Take to the streets of Atlanta to see if you can be the last survivor standing. Tool yourself up with some (hopefully) useful equipment and then battle it out against the other characters to grab the most loot. Who will make it out alive?
5.TRY OUT WARPATH

Fancy trying out our epic sci-fi wargame? Then the Open Day is the perfect opportunity because we’ll be running Warpath demos all day.
6.JETBIKE RACING!

Not literally unfortunately, but you will have the opportunity to try out our slightly bonkers Jetbike Racing game, inspired by the Deadzone rules. Hammer it around the track and shoot down your opponents to see if you can cross the finish line first. Plus, we’ll be making the Jetbike Racing rules available to our newsletter subscribers shortly, so make sure you sign up at www.manticgames.com!
7.PLAY WAVE TWO OF THE WALKING DEAD: ALL OUT WAR

With the retail launch of Wave Two just around the corner and the Kickstarter contents currently on the boat from China, it’s time to get excited about Wave Two! At the Open Day, you’ll be able to try out one of the scenarios from the upcoming Miles Behind Us expansion, which sees Rick and the gang travel to Hershel’s farm.

8.PAINT AND TAKE

Try your hand at painting an Enforcer or get creative with a Walking Dead Walker. We’ll have a painting station set up with all the paints, brushes and other accessories you need to paint your own miniature, plus you can take it home once you’ve finished. We’ll also have Dave Neild, our studio painter, on hand to offer some tips and tricks for painting Warpath miniautres.
9.SEMINARS!

Mantic Open Day

The seminars are always a great opportunity for Ronnie to spill the beans about what’s coming up and they’re usually handy for Mantic staff to find out what we’ll be doing in the next year too ;-p For this Open Day, Ronnie and Stewart will be talking about what’s coming up over the next few months and Rob will be chatting about the Kings of War summer campaign. For those of you that can’t make it to the Open Day, make sure you keep checking Facebook throughout the day, as we’ll be livestreaming the seminars.
10.SHOP DEALS

As usual, the shop will be open for all your Mantic purchases… and we might even have a few treats and surprises in there too!

We’ve got a handful of tickets left, so if you want one of those FREE Warpath vehicles, you better snap one up quick! You can buy a single ticket or a group ticket for four people and we look forward to seeing you there!

£24.99 for the Interceptor is a decent price but €39.99($39.99) direct - not so much. I need 2 more so I'll have to get them from a UK discounter with free shipping.

And confirmed for June release.

There's no way they can make them look that good in board game plastic.

Just saw someone post a quote from Ronnie on fb saying they're "waiting to see how the Tunneller comes out before committing the others to the new manufacturer", and having to switch manufacturers would help explain some of the delays.

PS Those Nameless look amazing

If Prodos/ Archon can churn out crazy over- detailed sculpts for their games, why can't Mantic give it a shot?

Pretty neat looking concepts though. I do hope they can get the detail close to that level.

Is the big crazy one in the first photo supposed to be the final boss for the Nameless, that got unlocked when the PM hit?

It's a lot more visually interesting than yet another upright humanoid. Especially if they get the sizing right- something like that needs to be able to tangle with a Stage 1 Plague!

Is there a retail estimate for the Interceptor and other fliers?

Yeah think it's the Namless Monstrosity the picture wasn't tagged but it's a much better design than they had but that was largely just a place holder anyway. The third one I believe is the Blight again they only used place holder artwork during the KS.

Ronnie said £25 ($40) for all Warpath vehicles is the target unless production/tooling requires a higher price.

Also mentioned

- Dreadball 2 complete redesign from the ground up to balance everything they added a new stat which removes the need for special rules. They regret doing Xtreme as it broke the balance in the game.
- KS delivery now end of year retail April 2018.

- Deadzone GCPS rules later this year - rules included in the stater box, PDF online for those that have what they need already
- Nameless similar but later release

-Warpath Rebs - still need to consider plastic troops but GCPS troops and vehicles will be included with the Rebs. Probably mid to late 2018.

£25 ($40) for vehicles.. what the hell with that exchange rate??? The USD is doing way better than that ratio.. gonna have to order UK I guess if I end up getting any of that.. as $40 isn't gonna fly for me..

Those renders are pretty crazy. Looks like someone bought Marmoset for their concept renders

If you want yours to look like that you're going to have to coat it in polyeurathane, gloss coat it, carry around a lighting rig, and keep it sprayed down with water or baby oil lol.. It looks like they have gloss and specularity cranked through tha roof.

I am still glad I backed this. Zero buyer remorse. So many quirky aliens and monsters. Like someone mentioned, very easy to cross into some horror or other genre type gaming with stuff like this.

I suppose there was no news on the GCPS vehicles current tooling / whatever status?

All Ronnie said was that they'd given the tunneller to the new company as a test if they pass then they'll get more they used the tunneller as it doesn't have the smooth details of the chroma so less to mess up as a first try. From that I'd guess tooling of the other vehicles is still some way off yet.

I still hope they do well, but these running delays in production, delivery and more importantly - retail mean that resurgent GW and new-40k are going to eat WarPath'slunch.

If they haven't already done so.

It's a shame really. For the last 6 months I've had a 40K khaki uniformed IG Armoured Fist company painted up waiting for their Tunnellers.

I rarely game due to time and location constraints but I'm always looking for something different to build up and paint. That's why I jumped in on Mantic's KS.

That said, I'm perfectly happy to wait for what Mantic consider to be a good product rather than a 'rush any tat out' to fulfil the KS.

Individual opinions may vary of course.

The nameless models have a great dual use potential for King of Wars for eitheir Neretica or the Night stalkers.

I have already seen some nicely done units using the Dreadball nameless team, this bring a nice expansion to the same idea, and I don't regret having pledged for an additionnal nameless minions addon. ^_^

Yeah as much as they got a really lucky break with the launch time of Kings of War 2E, whatever disaster befell their original production partner and forced them to find another mid stream has really screwed them.

Sorry I was thinking more about time for the fliers, I mean if they had them to give out then retail can't be far can it?

I spotted this Heavy Magma Cannon Jotuun Platform in the WP release video, probably a resin gun, pity they are still using the old gunner he could do with an update

The gunner does let it down.. but really I'm surprised that thing is sitting at an angle like that and not tipping. It looks extremely front heavy. Part of me dislikes how over the top the design is.. but I think they've landed just at the edge of ludicrous and would probably add that to my FF... when.. they get built

WAyland have the Jotuun set up for pre order £25 for 3 with 1 resin magma cannon, it does look ridiculously big I guess they took the tank version and just made it fit the chassis with minimum changes

I've just received a Kickstarter update from Mantic with previews of the Tunneler model.

These are a test version of the model. Once final approval is done, hopefully it won't be long before they are in my grubby little hands.

If all goes well with the Tunneler, they will most likely use this company for the remaining models.

The sooner they are delivered to KS backers, the sooner they'll go retail.
