What are your favourite and least favourite models in the game?

Can be a character, vehicle, troops.... whatever takes ya fancy!

Favorite model: Space Marine Chaplain in Terminator Armor. It's been my favorite model for years.

Least favorite model: Abaddon the despoiler. Really? Just looking through the current CSM HQ choices and everyone of them (save Abaddon) looks good. Go figure that the big bad of the CSM looks like a freaking tool...

Fav: Typhus. I just love that hulking Nurgle Terminator. Just wished that his price wasnt so high =(

Least: Not really any in particular. Any hate I have is more technical than design or rule wise (mainly, why we dont have plastic models where we could have easily gotten plastic models).

Favorite... Crisis suits *ducks head*

Favorite is the Carnifex model. Not only is it a beautiful scuplt, the kit has so many options. Most of which not even in the list entry now, however.

Least favorite are the unhelmeted Sisters of Battle models. The heads look like mens heads with long hair. If they ever redo these, get someone who knows what a females face looks like.

Damn it looks like someone stole it from transformers.

I don't have one in possession, but I really like the Canis Wolfborn model. Hes a space marine... on a freaking wolf... WITH LIGHTNING CLAWS. As for least favorite, I don't really have one since I've been in the hobby for about a month. I try to avoid anything metal.

Favourite is prolly the Ork Big Mek with KFF.

Least? Dreadknight.

I honestly don't think the Dreadknight deserves the hate it gets at least as far as the model. If it was in a Tau army it would be a fantastic addition. It just looks completely out of place in a Grey Knight army.

Hesperax (sp?) is definitely an amazing model. That and the Terminator Librarian and Chaplain are my favorites.

Favorite 40k models? In terms of what I like visually, first and foremost DKoK Grenadiers.

After that, Kasrkin, Tyranid Warriors, GK Terminators (the metal ones at least, haven't gotten to see the Plastics), Chaos Terminators, Typhus, Armored Sentinels, Valkyries, Trygons, Falcons, Fire Warriors, Devilfish, Crisis Suits, and most Chaos Lord models.

However, I think that a couple models from Fantasy also bear mentioning. The Chaos Lord on a Jugger and the Chaos Lord on a Daemonic Mount, along with the Chaos Warriors, Chosen and Knights are all stunning.

As for least favorite...well, there's a lot. I really dislike much of the Fantasy like actually, much of it just lacks detail or looks cartoony or badly proportioned. Many SM models, especially some of the newer characters, I just dislike a lot. SM bikers generally look rather bad. I *HATE* the entire Catachan line. They look goofy, poorly proportioned, and have awful detail.

While I like most things about the Cadian line, their faces ruin it. They all look like they are constipated and can't get that log out that's tearing apart their insides.

The Rough Riders are also awful, as are the Ork Buggies/Trakks.

I'd have to say the Eldar Harlequin Troupe Master would be my fav and very poss the reason i'm gonna start an Eldar army next. Also I love the look of the Wraithlord. Really, I'm massively surprised to see Lucius as peoples worst, it's on of my favourites and if i didn't plan to run 2 daemon princes he'd deffo have a place in my army.


Least favourite, anything Necron but overall winner the necron heavy distroyer. An army devoid of any aesthetic merit imho

I hope the next codex makes him (and other Phoenix Lords) usable; Maybe something like making Swooping Hawks into troops if you took Baharroth as your HQ. Same for the other aspects too.

Least favorite?


Hate the old jetbikes, but not as much as I hate the old CONEHEADS. The old Wraithlord and War Walkers were ugly too, but at least I don't have to see those anymore (aside from the massive amounts people are trying to get rid of on eBay.)

p.s. i actuallly really like the dreadknight (awaits abuse for my taste or lack of as it would seem).

Favorite model is probably either the Eldar farseer with two swords or the Tau Sniper Drone Team spotter.
Least favorite model is definitely the Chaos Dreadnaught

Fave model? Either Bloodcrushers of Khorne or the ever popular TDA Chaplain.

Least fave? Plastic horrors

Fav: I have to say Lelith Hespherax, only character I've ever bought multiples of.

Least: 3rd edition Carnifex. WTF were they thinking?

This may shock you after seeing my avatar, but my favorite models are Elysian Drop Troops. They have such a great "real world" feel to them while still being believably in the 40k universe.

Least: Of the modern figures, probably the dreadknight. I don't know how the Ad Mech came to understand Tau technology so well when they don't even know how magnets work but surely such overt use of xenos equipment by such "pure" space marines must be heresy.

Typhus because he is one of the greatest chaos lords. My least favorite IG troops their good as meat sheilds but the everything else their crap.

Either you've never played an even moderately skilled opponent, or you don't know the power of mechvets. Even if you're talking about standard guardsmen, I've taken out terminators and daemon princes in close combat with them. Can't be too bad if they can manage that.

Fave: Is forgeworld okay? Lufgt Huron, better than the post chaos Huron

My favourite miniatures are Incubi and Mandrakes my least favourite is the Stormraven.
