Post the worst album covers you know (make sure it follows the rules though).

Here's mine:



It's "They Only Come Out at Night" by Edgar Winter. I don't want to know who thought it would be a good idea, to take a picture of a topless albino man with flowing long hair, women's jewelery and red lip stick. I

would be down-right embarrassed, if I had this album at home and someone somehow stumbled upon it.

I imagine the conversation would go like this:

Friend: Wha-what the?!? What the hell is this thing?
Me: Oh it's just a rock album by Edgar Winter, don't you like rock too?
Friend: That's not what I see I see a male albino transvestite, I don't care how good the music is on here there is no way that can be used to justify how creepy this picture is. Do you have some kind of fetish or
something?
Me: Honestly man there's nothing wrong with me, it just a rock album chill.
Friend: I think I'm going to be sick. See you later.
Me: Wait why are you leaving so early?
Friend: Sorry got to go, bye. (rushes out the door)
Me: bye? (turns on Pink Floyd's "Don't Leave Me Now")

Eh. That's not too bad. Judging by how you look at that kind of stuff, you shouldn't lay eyes on some of the earlier Bowie album covers.

Im fairly certain thats Edgar winter himself. A buddy of mine always said that only the weirdest made the best music. And Edgar winter group made a gak load of good tunes. So I guess hes right lol.

My dad had some little feat albums, and I always thought they were a bit weird





But just google search worst album covers and prepare to laugh.

Yes I know that's Edgar Winter, still doesn't make it any worse of an image though.

This was, from what I can tell, a parody off bowie.

ACDC's back in black is horrible. So ostentatious and conceited. What a horrible band in general.

I like AC/DC they have a solid hard-rock sound imo. I think the most overrated rock band has to be Kiss, they look ridiculous, they sound like crap, not very talented and are overt sell-outs.

Although I agree that Kiss are massively overrated, in my opinion the most overrated rock band of all time is Joy Division. They're OK. They are NOT the second coming of Jesus Christ, like some of their fans (and Peter Hook) would have you believe.

I have the same problem with some Nirvana fans, oh so because the lead singer took the pathetic way out of the world, he's some kind of rock and roll God.

The best thing to come from that moment in my opnion was the Foo Fighters, Dave is oh so a better artist than Cobain.

Also agree with Joy Division, they have that one song everyone recognises, which to be fair, is a nice song, but yeah not best ever or anything.

I've actually never heard of them, but taking a look at their discography they seem pretty critically acclaimed mind you I haven't listened to them so I can't form an opinion on them.

While it`s definitely true that Kurt Cobain is over-rated, he`s praised for creating grunge, which is more like heavy pop-punk than rock.

He didn't create grunge. I agree with Morathi's on Nirvana, fwiw.

I have alot more where those came from, probably will post when I find the time. The 'Narita' cover is one of the worst. I always thought it looked like a monkey crossed with the incredible hulk in red. It is just needlessly offensive. I'd be prepared to forgive it if the music was at all good, but alas, it is not so.

Metal is the genre of music I really like, but sadly the album covers are often poorly done, offensive beyond reason or just silly (see Manowar cover I already posted..), or a combination of the three. It is pretty annoying
