Simple and concise: If a model is equipped with a piece of wargear (either a NFSword or Ward Stave) that increases their invulnerable save while in combat, when they suffer a wound from perils of the warp, do they use their modified invulnerable save (assuming they are in combat) or do they use their basic one?

For example:

A Librarian in close combat equipped with a Nemesis Warding Stave uses Hammerhand, and rolls double 1s. Does the wound caused by perils of the warp get taken on his 5++ granted by his terminator armour, or on the 2++ granted by the stave?

NFS states it gives a +1 against "close combat attacks" so no perils bonus there.

Warding stave only says "in close combat" so RAW, yes it would be improved. However, I doubt this is RAI, as the fluff says it gives enhanced "resilience against his enemies' attacks. I hope for a speedy FAQ to clear this up.
