Is the lack of long range support that important?

To squeeze in 3 Psiflemen dreads I would have to kill 12 Purfiers including 6 psi cannons, 1 MC hammer, 5 Halberds and a rhino...

IMO, the lack of long range support IS that important. When your going against an army that has the potential to pop all 5 of your rhinos on turn 1 and def pop them all on turn 2, your in trouble.

With that said, I am lacking the experience in playing as well as playing against Grey Knights. I only played against them in 1 game. Though, it seems to me that any army that doesn't have the ability to fire long range can get crippled pretty quick.

Then kill them. Otherwise you're just putting across the field doing little to nothing for at least one full turn.
