your mokup looks excellent jake...and biohazard... nice new version of yours too...

seeing the concept now i think this is definatly a good decision to see this through... that idea has lots of potential and i think this is definatly something that will have a market!

as for the famine horseman... in the bible and in certain inspired books i´ve read famine rides out to the apocalypse with a set of scales...maybe this could help you?

of course you could always go for a more firey look...fire being the greatest threat to crops and such things...

Oh, I can't wait to go "Biblical" with these guys! LOL!

Thanks Vik, I think the best way to do it would be to have scales on the armor plates, and one arm have a huge flamethrower! I mean the kind of flamethrower you have make up new rules for!

Not exactly like this, but you get the idea!

War = Brutal close combat. Lots of spikes and chains on the armor.
Pestilence = Some kind of biological projectile weapon. And corrupted armor.
Famine = "Hades" pattern Flame Cannon. Scales and desicated corpses on the armor.
Death = Giant 2 handed cannon with a giant sythe attached to the barrel! Skulls and bones all over the armor.

Yeah!

But I need to get the basic walker done first.

Slightly off topic, but maybe more inspiration for me:

If I can't use some of this in this build, I will save it for my Orks!

It does have some classic Thunderhawk styling...And I think I have found a possible theme for my old '71 Travelall! Rivets! (also, expect some progress updates on Monday morning! )

lol... well of course... riveting will see that old battle cruiser up and about again^^

LOL, yeah, it's almost up and about, it just has a short somewhere that I need to find so I don't have to worry about the battery being dead when I go into the woods. But Rivets will help I think!

So, I got some more work done on the walker.
Here you can see the shoulder and hip joints. Along with the "cup" sockets for the shoulders and hips. I am in the midst of re-working the shoulder joint though. I found a cap similar to the hip joint, just a little smaller, and I think it will work better. So you'll see that next time if I go with it.

Here is what I have so far laid out so you can see the arm as I have it planned. I might use the same arm sections for the legs, just glue them in place, so they don't articulate as much as the arms.

And here is a close-up of the pelvis area, with my first attempts at "welding". I think it will look alright when I'm done.

So, C&C appreciated as always!

This is going to be epic!
For the legs, are You going to do a revers knee (like a ostrich) or a human one?

@SelvaggioSaky -Thanks!

More like a Warhound. Similar to this.

But smaller of course.

I think this guy will end up being around 6 inches tall, plus or minus.

I want to have several different arm and weapon options. It's coming along faster than I would have thought! But not fast enough, I'm growing impatient! I have to slow down a bit, or I will get frustrated.

or I will get frustrated.
that´s where i am atm...

shoulders etc are not working out like i planned... frustrating...

but your walker looks like a huge thing! this will truly be a sight to see! what i would like to see is a scale shot with a marine or IG mini... that would be nice...or for that matter a dreadnought... just to put it in the right perspective...

love by the way the already done detailwork...welding lookjs very good... and the joints look very cool... will be tons better when painted...

Thanks Vik! Yeah, lots of detail work left to do! Still trying to work out the legs, I think I want to use some tubing that is a bit bigger than the arms, so I still have no idea exactly how tall it will be when done. I'll get some scale shots tonight.

that would be nice... well legs is one thing... and i think you are one the right track already... but what about feet? do you have a vision of these already? i think feets are even harder then the legs...

I have a few different concepts on my desk at home for the feet. I am leaning towards something with 4 toes on the front, 2 toes in the back, and lots of hydraulics all over the place. Very complicated, but it should look good.

Sorry Vik, I had a scale shot, but something happened to the pics I took last night, and none of them made it to the computer. I think I had an ID-10T error while downloading.

I try to get some more scale shots tonight.

Wait no longer!
Scale shot:

Scale shot with a ruler next to it:

As you can see it's around 4-1/2 inches or 19cm right now. But I don't know how the legs will affect (effect? I can never get those straight) the height.

Thanks for looking,
RSJake
