Urgh man will I be disappointed if the next WD doesn't have any new stuff in.

I don't know how long I can last without seeing the new starter set...

A brief summary of possible contents for the starter set was
10-20 cultists,
5-10 plague marines
5 cult terminators
1 blight drone.
If thats even close, i'll be grabbing a couple of sets

If plastic Blight Drones become a thing I may well go nuts buying them. Still gonna play 7th a bit for Apoc games and the like so some non FW Blight Drones would be pretty damn sweet.

Now only a CSM player.

The inclusion of blight drones in the video might possibly indicate a new plastic kit. On the other hand it might be the beginning of Forge World models actually being included in GW codices. Either would be very welcome.

Drooooool

Who is the ource on that? The bigger number for each type woud be better value, but with people probably going nuts for nuMarines one might get very lucky on ebay and bits sites for more Death Guard. I honestly never expected GW to give them such a push as we are speulating on.

Edit: And while nobody cares, I'm almost done doing a Plague Marine-spider mutant hanging from a tiny bimp armed with a WW1 style LMG. Once my Arachnarok bits arrive I'll kitbash a bigger Spiederblimp. Those dwarfs really stoked my imagination.

I'd love to, but I can't. It's suddenly too big to be used as an avatar.

As in MB or physical size? I can possibly edit for you if you would like?

I just can't see it happening, as much as I really want it to

Well the silhouette of the blight drone in this new cartoony vid is not the same as the FW Blight drone. Though very similar it looks like the engine fans are in a different spot.

The blight drones are way cooler than those flying bugs with plaguebearers riding on top...those seem a bit comical or dumb. I think the FW blight drones will stay, and these new ones will be armed differently and be an alternative and they might even be smaller.

Remember when they unveiled the thousand sons in a video similar to what was just released, I think everything in that video turned out to be a model so it definitely looks like some new form of a nurgle flying unit is in no matter what.

That sounds like WAY to much for half a starter.

Agreed Lockark - but it may not be that far off the mark.

Chaos in DV:

- Lord
- Aspiring Champ
- 6x Chosen
- 20x Cultists (!)
- Hellbrute

At a guess I would say:
10 Cultists
5 Plague Marines
Plague Drone
and I have a feeling that the terminators are characters.

The other possibility is that you get more Death Guard than marines, which would be the opposite to Dark Vengeance.

Reckon Typhus him-stinkin'-self will be in the starter?

I doubt anything in the starter would be a single use named character.

I mean, I guess you could argue that the DA Company Master and Libarian in DV could be aaaanybody but they are in effect single-use unnamed characters.

Weren't they both new characters created for the DV set? They could be any old DA Librarian or Chapter master/ Chaplin.
So far as I know only one set has come with a known fluff / named character and that was the Deathwatch vs Eldar box that came with Eldrad.

Well that's what I mean. Typhus could be any old scythe-wielding plague termie lord, in the same sense.

True.... But knowing GW it is more likely that it will be Plaugusee the Nasty with a giant scyth...

At first glance, I read Plaguey Sue.

Plaguey Sue, Plaguey Sue
Oh how my wallet yearns for you

Aaaanyway - I hope Typhus gets a new model one way or another and would love to see him in a Triumvirate along with Abaddon and maybe Lucius.

Ohh I again hope for a separate release, so I don't have to spend extra moneys just to get him!!

I guess the starterset DG and their single kits will be different models. The latter should be multipart with options. I wasnt sure after BaC and BoP that starter sets would continue to contain monopose models but those teaser pics from the 40k website make these Numarines look to be monopose so I guess the starterset content with them and the DG will be monopose too.

so it's pretty much confirmed the content shown previously is the starter set side for DG ... that's a bummer

... the bright side is plastic blight drones

... anyways looks like no DG 'til june/july for the complete release

I agree on upside. The ability to mix in daemons without the need to ally is awesome. Blight Drones being available means I don't necessarily have to rely so heavily on my Maulerfiends like I have always had to do.

Ah yeah... Daemons in Chaos armies again naturally? That'd be nice.

No, it would make the "Death Guard" faction, where you can take daemons and marines together. The Death Guard currently are an amalgamation of deamons and marines in the fluff, so it makes sense.

Really? Because I read pretty much every piece of Death Guard background I can get and I've never seen anything stating that they're "currently an algamation of Daemons and Marines", at least not any more so than any other Traitor Legion.
