Mule conversion finished. I'm calling it the 'Aurochs' Automated Transport, for my Maelstrom's Edge Epirian force.

Nice. What for basing? I think it'll be important.

I'm doing this guy to match my crystal outcrop terrain. The relatively pale stone should make for a nice contrast.

Vehicle looks great and the colorshift alien looks appropriately spooky!

Finished colorshifting Angel. He's a sod to photograph, but I'm really pleased with the effect.

Brief walkthrough article (including a little 360 degree spinaround video) here.

Mostly, on my phone.

Looks phenomenal! I like the gs world colour shift paints also, but as you say a pain to photograph. Great for bugs and beasties.

So, stepping back a sec: that mule is so well done, especially the tires. The weathering is a little thing overall but it really helps to sell it.

So, the Angel - how did you prime it prior to the colorshift paint? How easy was it to make it look good? I bought some of that from GSW but I haven't cracked it open yet. (edit: never mind, I see you answered these questions in the other thread)

Yeah, I was really happy with the tyres on the Mule. I hadn't tried doing 'dirty' wheels like that before, so it was a little experimental.

I have to say [again, I suspect] that your Necromunda homage is really fabulous. Great attention to detail, true to the original, beautifully crafted, and nicely painted. Your rust effects, both bare metal and over paint, are top notch. Full marks!

WIP Wednesday... a social media tradition that I occasionally remember!

Working on a bunch of articles for the next couple of weeks. A robot to add to the escape pod diorama, some Quickshade-painted Epirians to update an old article, and a rodent ball for a new, top-secret thing!

Is it a death star?
Is it a life-sized lightsaber training droid?
Is it a couple of dome buildings?
Is it a big old radar dish?
Is it the return of warhamster?

Who knows? Only insaniak knows! Keep tuning in to find out....

It does actually look rather Death Star-esque in that pic, doesn't it?

For this week's article, I dug out one of my very first MEdge tutorials and dusted it off with some new pics, as the original photos were (in hindsight) a bit awful. This was a tutorial on painting with washes, which you can find here.
