I did find it weird Elladan and Elrohir weren't coming back when they made a point of Rivendell characters returning, so seeing them on the list isn't much of a surprise but still a welcome one.

It's the best ruleset Games Workshop have ever made, seriously. I love playing Middle-Earth, and would play it over anything else offered.

I've never played but I would like to. Thinking of making a small isengard/uruk hai force as I got lurtz, saruman and an isengard/Mordor troll for Christmas.

yeah I've played one demo game and liked it a lot. I liked it more than AoS and 40k easily. BB/Underworlds are too different, although it did actually remind me of BB a little. It's a very good skirmish game with a setting you can't really beat.

I was unable to convince my group though. Since then I've connected with a couple of local players through other games and found out there's a pretty big scene in my area, so I know I'll be able to get a game.

I was planning on waiting for a new core set (whenever that may happen) and hoping we got new Rivendell minis, but if that never happens... then now seems like the best time to start. I can get a full elf army with options for around $200. Reasonable for any tabletop game, especially a GW one.

You're in NOVA/DC area? Yeah man you have a very very large scene, the DC Hobbit League is great. Devin Moreno is also one of those Warhammer Heroes that GW does every year.

Yup! Devin gave me my demo game like 5 years ago hah.

Well. Nazgul and barrow wights sold out fast. Hopefully more come sooner than later

Barrowights and Spectres too. I got my 9 and Haldir. Not really surprised about the wraiths though, it's the first time they've been available easily for about 18 years. *Edit. And everything's out of stock. I'm genuinely quite impressed, it wasn't even that long ago the barrowights and spectres disappeared off the site.

Ooh man. So keen for that Amon Hen set. If for only the chance to get a complete dying Boromir. So bloody hard to get one that has both horn halves and the 3 arrows for a reasonable price.


Everything else on that list is just a fat bonus.

Do we think they're referring to the 2 (almost) identical ones with picks, or the two infinitely rarer versions, one wearing a Gondorian breastplate and one with his arms in the air?

Oof. I was thinking about ordering a pack just for Gildor, but I guess that makes my decision for me (at least for now!). With these previous reprints, did it seem like it was quick/slow to get restock?

It would have to be the non twin versions. The pick one is still available in the command box i believe.

Damn, I wanted to at least get the mount Doom set, but I was too relaxed about it. If this isn't a MTO, why do they sell out? Is it just until they make some more?

Yes, that's what "Temporarily Out of Stock Online" means.

If they were sold out it would say "No Longer Available".

Announce of "Return of the Classics"


So it IS the Gondor Breastplate captain!

There’s no pre-order window on these miniatures, but they are strictly limited, so make sure that you act quickly to get your hands on them.

As a heads up, it looks like they're not returning to range permanently.

Strange to make it a splash release, but i guess they just wanted to fill the week. Another Saturday sniping session. Hm so Witch King, Frodo & Sam and the captains for me i think.

Sounds like the Rohan releases the other month- they're produced and ready to ship, whilst stocks last.

Looks like I'm logging on at 10am next Saturday to get Frodo & Sam in Orc armour.

Ah, bugger. I love those Cave Troll sculpts too.

Other than Cirdan, who I got via MtO, and most likely Arwen (time has not been kind to that sculpt), seems I'm in for it all. Going to be a very expensive weekend for me, I guess.

I might want that Galadriel, the Cave Troll with the hammer (I have the spear one already), the Orc Captains, and Murin & Drar, and possibly the Breaking of the Fellowship set (although I don't currently collect Isengard). We'll see how much all these cost before I make any decisions.

Man, I'm so getting that witchking, I've been waiting for him to return about... 10 years I think Let's just hope I'll get him before he's sold out again... Seems like those lotr releases don't last more than half an hour on preorder...
