I can see why you like how the stone came out, it looks great! Did you throw some other colours than gray in there? The flames have come out well too, nice job!

Thanks. Yes, there are quite a few other colors in there.

Thanks, old bean.

I decided to mount my nail polish/paint racks on the wall with Command strips. Turned out all right. I had the forethought to plan so that my light/magnifying lens can still swivel past the shelves.
Plus, in a fortuitous turn of events, MrsJazzyJeff bought me a headset with magnifying lenses. I guess they're jeweler's goggles, or something, but they work great for mini painting.

Great progress on the rats and nice addition to the hobby space. I tried some magnifying glasses last month, but despite the description saying otherwise didn't fit over my glasses.

Working on Qulathis the Exile from Cursed City. Oh, wow, is she a cool looking model. I tried out a Kolinsky Sable brush on her face and I think I'm in love. Both with her and the brush.
I have to finish some details, mostly in the leather department. And I'm working on her base.
And since I was rolling putty, I slapped some on a bunch of rat bases for good measure. The army awaits their sewer bases!

The Qulathis figure is _most_ impressive; great animation, basing and well painted.

The New Round of the League of Extraordinary Riveters is up and live. Go check it out, everyone! Dive in! Compete! Model!
You can always use an extra piece of terrain, right?

Also, Qulathis is done.

Got 80 sewer bases rolled out. Looking for ways to speed up the painting process on them. Going to be chunking the rats, get them done 5-10 at a time. The advice I got seems a much better way to plod through it. Looking at all of them at once is super overwhelming.

Thats some nice cobble bases! Sadly, don't have any better advice on method for you than lots and lots of drybrushing.

The elven huntress looks great, love all the colors and transitions.

Bases for your rats are cool, hope painting the rats in smaller doses proves helpful.

I'm feeling your cobblestone pain just now with Moonstone AND Forbidden Fortress but with the sheer quantity your doing, I'd suggest maybe a brown-grey prime and then drybrush a texture paint (astrogranite) followed by a lighter dry colour eg (dawnstone) - keep it fast and simple.

Maybe not as fast as is needed here, but the method I got from the innerwebz/YUUTUUUUBE can be 'production lined' pretty easy:

Flat black basecoat

Dry brush everything dark brown or grey

Pick out 50% of stones with a light brown or grey

Pick out 25% of remaining stones with the opposite (light brown or grey)

Heavily wash with el cheapo black wash

It goes more fastlier than you might think, but like I say, maybe not fast enough.

Good luck!

I completed the paint on the stone bases. Something to the effect of what you suggested Meer_Cat, some rattle can work, some washes and some dry brushing. A few more rats mostly done. Some clothing color on a few more squads, some metal rust, and then eyes and teeth all down the line. Glue them on, add some osl green lighting effects to unify them and tie them into the other pieces I have and they're done.

I also started work on some bad guys from Cursed City for this month's painting challenge.

Well done knocking out all of those bases and good luck getting all the rats for them finished. Looking forward to seeing the undead ogres finished for the challenge

The bases look ace (not the musical group Ace of Base ), really came out well and do not look mass-produced, lots of character in each. The undead ogres are already impressive, good look wrapping up for the submission. Rock on!

Made some progress on the guards, but not enough to finish them by the end of the month. Shouldn’t be too much longer now, though.
