Should I understand Warpfire Blade to mean you make 8 attacks total at 7 -3 3, or does that mean that if you have a warpfire blade then it has a note under abilities that says "this model makes 3 additional attacks with this profile during each fight phase" or whatever?

From what I read in the Discord, it's the latter

Nope. From the few tidbits in the chat, its gun is assault now and its still slower than flamers. ]

3 Casts on the LoC sounds great. 20W and 3*vs Ranged reads quite exessive, though. It obviously rises and falls with the point costs.

The LD values for normal demons and lack of the old Aura makes me wonder though: are we going to see the first codex that suffers against moral breaker armies or will they get a general army rule dealing with this?

Even if you don't get moral mitigation, you will just be running MSU to ignore it anyways.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Excited about this; currently have close to 1.5k of Tzeench I've never used. Hope they actually rectify the shooting issue in full, and we're not just stuck with Assault 2 Lasguns on our Horrors again.

And does that mean that the Slaughterbrute is joining the party? I wanted it for my World Eaters, but I'd be happy for my Daemons to get it.

They're already in the Thousand Sons Codex - not sure if they're in one of the Supplements for Daemons.

They've never been daemons, thats why I brought it up. Its been one of the most nonsensical things in the game for years and something I have complained about in every iteration of the daemons codex to date.

Mutalith are not likely to be in the dex, but you can still ally Tzeentch daemons with 1ksons

Could someone clarify? The split saves on the new Daemons; which one is for ranged and which one is melee? I thought the first one was for ranged attacks but I thought I saw the stronger save in different places in Tzeench daemons.

Melee first. Range second.

I was reading it wrong too.

Why is it nonsensical? They are giant monsters who carry a crazy warp portal on their back. They surely attract and act as a locus for daemons, but they are themselves mortal beasts of flesh and blood. Am I missing something? I don't think they belong in the Daemons codex but they should have synergy with them.

GW must be desperate to sell the MVB, since they ported it over to 40k for the 1k sons.

Wonder if World Eaters will get the slaughterbrute or whatever its khornate build option is.

The fluff can be changed. Saying "here are these chaos monsters created from the warp by the will of Tzeentch, but they aren't daemons, they are just chaos monsters" is dumb. Daemons are more or less by definition "chaos monsters" and the MVB and Slaughterbrute are the exact types of units that daemon armies need to actually be viable as the standalone mono-god armies that GW keeps trying to force on us.

I like the sound of the Bloodthirster. I'm giving mine the big axe, because it looks cool, but I still have the 2nd Edition one with axe/whip, so could use that were I desperate.

Right now? Yes.

They're in there because Belakor used to be able to turn people into spawn (not sure if he can anymore) and he was in the Daemons Codex.

Lots of tzeench stuff can (or could, over the years) turn enemies in to spawn, but you need to pay the points for the spawn in advance.

What page is their datasheet on

I love MVBs, they are such a cool model and concept. I get why folks would want them in the book (same with the Slaughterbrute). But they're not daemons, just like Tzaangors and Poxwalkers and Cultists (and Spawn, great point) are not Daemons.

I know 10 is the limit, but can you go lower?

IIRC there is no min cap for squads in 40k no ? Just no incentives to do so right ?

Uhm you don't take solo intercessors...which would be great addition if you could...

If max is 10 safe to say 5-10. 40k doesn't use fixed squad sizes all that much.especially for basic squads.
