So, I really want to build a 40k Daemon army that has 12 fiends in it. The problem is, that i think the metal Fiend model is absolutely terrible. I have a few ideas of how to get around this, but does anyone know of a good alternate model to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

Spider Riders + Daemonnette bodies seems to be a popular alternative, although it poses LoS issues unless you know how to compensate. I personally want to try to convert Seekers into Fiends (by merging the bodies of Daemonettes with the mounts).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

I use the old metal seekers on 40mm bases as fiends and the spider + deamonette conversion for seekers. No one has had any issues with them since they are about the same height as a fiend, infinitly less ugly, and on the correct base for a fiend.

I have alse seen demonettes on dark elf cold ones as an alternative, also put on the correct 40 mm base.

Yeah, the current models are really costly. And frankly, ugly. Since I run mono-Slaanesh daemons, I needed 18 of the buggers. So I run these as my Fiends.

5 for the price of 1 essentially, converting Cold Ones using some spare Seeker/Daemonette parts and salt dipping.

That looks like the best option.
