In the planning of the fluff of my Eldar Corsairs, I've found one thing I'm unsure about. I want a Farseer in the army, since I've already got the model, but fluff-wise a Farseer would have no reason to become Outcasts to join the fleet. So I was thinking, is it plausible that a Warlock could study the Farseer's powers and become equal in strength without becoming lost on the path, similar to how an Autarch is more skilled than an Exarch without being lost on the path of the Warrior?

This way I could say my Farseer model is just a very powerful and skilled Warlock.

Or just say that the Farseer is attached to the Corsair fleet.

Corsair fleets vary widely in their actions and motivations. Many of them frequently coordinate with a local craftworld, while still maintaining a degree of autonomy. It wouldn't be out of the question for a Farseer to join such a group either as a long-term exchange (i.e. loaning a farseer out as a form of payment for services rendered) or for a short-term mission (i.e. the farseer has personally requested the assistance of the corsair band to deal with an impending threat to the craftworld or the eldar race as a whole).

Well, I was actually hoping for this character to be the 'First Mate' and so a permanent member of the Fleet. While I want my army to be friendly with craftworlds, I want to avoid craftworld allies with them, because then the army doesn't feel like a true corsair army, if you know what I mean.

Maybe the upcoming Imperial Armour #11 on Corsairs will give an answer. Or the example of Prince Yriel (basically a standard fleet going rogue for a limited time. But generally, it is difficult to stay on a path as a Corsair.
