Hey, dakka. I haven't been around in quite a while, so I thought I would come here pending my new project. I want to make a force based off of the Codex: Eye of Terror LatD army list. I know there are better ways to do this, namely using the Forge World books to build a list, but I am building this army mainly for fun, and for use in friendly games, so it doesn't matter about the up-to-date rule systems.

BUT, I have come into some problems trying to interpret the old army list. Mainly, they list what's in the army list, but don't have a statline or ruleset for them, so I'm wondering where to get the rule sets for the following:

HQ
Arch Heretic, which also counts as a Chaos Lieutenant/ sorcerer

ELITES
Daemon Packs
Possessed (not sure if these are the guys from codex: Chaos space marines, or regular people that are possessed.)

TROOPS
Gibbering Hordes

FAST ATTACK
Daemonic Beasts

Thanks for any help in advance. I don't think this is against the rules, but I may be wrong. It is technically a published ruleset I want, but it is out-of-print, so apologies if I broke the rules.

If I had a dollar for every dollar I spent I'd have all my money back.

The LatD list was used in conjunction with the 3.5ed Chaos Codex (The one with the two Black Legion troopers on the cover).

If you wanted to port it over to the current codex instead...

This would now just be a regular Chaos Lord or Sorcerer.

Daemon Packs
Possessed (not sure if these are the guys from codex: Chaos space marines, or regular people that are possessed.)

Daemon Packs are now Lesser Daemons. Possessed were indeed Possessed Space Marines.

TROOPS
Gibbering Hordes

FAST ATTACK
Daemonic Beasts

Both of these are gone in the current CSM codex. (Gibbering Hordes were just Nurglings. Daemonic Beasts were Flesh Hounds, Screamers and Furies)

Asking for which book to find the rules in is fine. You'll still have to find the appropriate book, through. We can't just give you the rules.

You'd probably be best off looking for one of the many LatD fandexes out there.

Why not use chaos daemons as your base? The few units you listed there seem to be chaos daemon units--only the sorc/lieutenant and the possessed are not--heralds of khorne make good lieutenants and bloodcrushers can be your possessed.

@Insaniak
Thanks, I'll have to dig around to find an old Chaos book.

@MasterSlowPoke
I didn't know there were fandexes for that... Mwahahahahahaha!! Sorry, evil epiphany.

@DevianID
I am going to be using all the units in the LatD list, not just those units. I just didn't know what the rules for those were.

If I had a dollar for every dollar I spent I'd have all my money back.

The "missing" demon units can be found in the current codex: chaos daemons. A mixture of that and codex: chaos space marines should do the trick for you.

There isn't really a forgeworld list that covers this although forgeworld have re-visited the corrupt guard with chaos marine support list. (and it's downloadable)

The Vraks Renegades list comes pretty close. My local league has allowed one of the guys to use it.

The Vraks Renegades list doesn't "come pretty close".

It comes close, then keeps going past it

If I may ask, could you post the link to that?

However, IA6 and IA7 have Khorne and Nurgle variants respectively, but they're not available as legal PDFs.

Thanks, I was having trouble finding the FW download page. This is great, I was just thinking about starting a small traitor guard army.

Go for it, General Seric. Has anyone here used the Chaos Renegades lists from IA6 and 7? I have the downloadable copy, and I'll be trying it out once I get the models, but I want to know other's opinions of the other two lists.
