So i just want to make sure i am not getting cheesed... If a blood taloned dread causes wounds it gets to make that many fresh attacks? and if those cause wounds he attacks again? This happened to me, and i feel cheated... killed 28 Hormagaunts...

Although it is infinitely unlikely to get so many attacks.

But yes, it is possible to kill 28 'gaunts with the Blood Blenders.

Blood talons, if you suffer an UNSAVED wound, the dread gets to swing again for each unsaved wound. And the talons act like lightning claws (so reroll wounds).

They own face. I killed 14 CSM in 1 assault this past weekend with em. Love em.

All for less than 150 pts. AV 13 front. In a storm raven with a libiraian, its near impossible to counter for Tyranids. Hive Guard S8 shots aren't reliable
Zoenthropes S10 Lance Gets hooded 50% of the time

It's one of the best, if not the best CC unit in the game.

They're good but not broken, the results like killed 10 Space marines is an aberration rather than the norm. I furioso only has 3 Attacks with Boodtalons, +1 for charging, with at beest 3's to hit you'll really struggle to break into double digits.

If you're playing Nids then just punch it to death with a Trygon or something.

Violence isn't the answer, I just like getting it wrong on purpose.

Plus all you need is 1 weapon destroyed result to stop the infinite attacks, as that bonus is only active when the Furioso has 2 Blood Talons. Try to get a few shots off before assault, even a glance gives you a chance to stop it.

Your best option is to go with a DC dread 1 less WS, 1 less front armor, 1 more attack, Fleet, Furious Charge (5 attacks on the charge)

But the Furioso is more reliable. Also I've never not taken out an entire squad of troops if I still had both arms. So the "infinitely unlikely" is rather "likely".

So go for the arms!

That's not necessarily true.

Assuming 3+ to hit and 2+ to wound (WS 4, T4 opponents) and no invul. saves, the following table shows the odds of getting additional attacks:
(# of attacks is across the top, # of additional attacks is across the left side)

With 4 attacks, you have a 38% chance of getting 3 extra attacks (total 7). 3 attacks have a 44% chance of generating 2 extra attacks (total 9). 2 attacks have an 80+% chance of generating at least one more attack. And that one extra attack is more likely than not to generate an additional attack (65% vs. 35%).
