I liked those, too

There is a review of the FF tanks on Brueckenkopf-online.de, even though it is in german there are many hires pics of the kit

Positives: Very easy to build, the parts fit well.

Negatives: The tracks look a bit like going backwards. And the hull would profit from more detail

Certainly nice and easy to build, but yeah, now that I've seen the backwards tracks, that would be an irritant.

Wonder how hard it would be to turn the track units around...

Really interesting that the price for the forge father tanks have gone down to £24.99 and the APC is £19.99.

And they have some bundle deals for the tanks too

Thanks for those - I'm a little surprised, as I thought earlier comparisons had them a bit smaller than a rhino. They look like they're actually a pretty good match.

The fact that Mantic's vehicles tend to look like Happy Meal toys is why I have avoided them tbh.. Hiking the price up into ... hmm.. almost GW territory.. is laughable.

Thanks, JoeRugby, a really helpful review and very good comparison photos

The FF vehicles would make for good Death Guard Plageburst Crawler tank alternatives I think.

Enforcer Command

Nice set the commander stands out and it looks like the medic and engineer get metal torsos. I prefer the standing engineer but the kneeling, cloaked sniper is better.

Other than rule books, I highly recommend Rise of the Shadow King. I really enjoyed playing through for all the different paths to take, monsters to kill, and places to ransack. The Warpath novel, First Strike is good pulpy fun that made me want to buy some Enforcer stuff, but it was a bit short for the original asking price, and now it's half off.

Are those the resin pre-production figures or the final plastics? They look nice, either way.

Painted stuff is resin, the terrain looks like production plastic.

They should be Resin masters

They had the production testers through on the 15th so they wouldn't have had enough title to get them painted

No regrets on backing Star Saga, the miniatures look lovely.
Is it just me though or does the dining table (second shot between the security guard and plague victim) look a tad too small?

Cut the benches off to use a a gymnastics beam? It does look undersized though.

I really like the chohvar from star saga, hoping there's a way to get hold of it outside of the board game.

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.

Not familiar with how to post pictures here but the GCPS Deadzone kits have been released, and along with it they've released images of GCPS Ranger snipers and tank hunters.

Might need to be that size to fit in the spaces on the board.

Here you go:

GCPS, Asterian and Verr-Myn preorders ships 22nd September
http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/new/deadzone.html

GCPS faction starter - http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/new/deadzone/product/gcps-faction-starter.html

GCPS Booster - http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/new/deadzone/product/gcps-faction-booster.html

Pity they added the Strider to that set they must have a job lot to get rid of. Even adding the metal burst laser to it would have boosted it's value.

Sniper squad (part of booster) plastic with metal upgrades

I got my Enforcers/FF order on Friday, can't post pictures until Monday. The Engineer and Medic are not full metal torsos as I first thought you use the regular plastic torso and the upgrade bits are metal and clip (glue) over the plastic torso. Defender shields and shotguns are much better in metal.

That gcps starter set feels like a lot of models for £25. Maybe I'm just too use to GW pricing.

The Asterian Kalyshi are now in resin rather than metal too, which is a huge plus

I hope the GCPS sniper upgrade kit becomes available as a pack of the bits separately soon. I have plenty of sprues to put them on from the Kickstarter.

My striders are still unbuilt. I just can't convince myself to much about with the restic clean up. I'm sure someone will be along to tell me how it's not that bad.. like I didn't build a whole gakload of restic stuff from DZ1.. but I just can't bring myself to do it.
