Aloha. After building an undivided army for a while, I've been convinced of Nurgle's potency, so I thought I'd build a few pure nurgle lists. I'm currently away from my codex, but I can do vague estimations now. The first list is 1850, and the next one is what I add to it (so you don't have to read the whole thing again). Thank you

1850-
HQ- Nurgle Prince with warptime and wings --175?
HQ- Nurgle Prince with warptime and wings --175?

Troops- x5 Plague Marines, x2 Melta, Rhino with Havoc- 195?
Troops- x5 Plague Marines, x2 Melta, Rhino with Havoc- 195?
Troops- x5 Plague Marines, x2 Melta, Rhino with Havoc- 195?
Troops- x10 CSM, x2 Plasma, Champion with Power Fist, Rhino -335?
Troops- x10 CSM, x2 Plasma, Champion with Power Fist, Rhino -335?

Heavy- X5 Havocs, x4 Missiles- 120?
Heavy- x5 Havocs, x4 missiles -120?

350..585...670....1605...Total is 1845!

My general theme is that redundancy is key. I'm a little short on range, overall, but the entire codex is pretty short-ranged, the more I think about it Here's 2000:

2000

+ x3 Terminators, x3 combi-meltas,chainfist-champion, 155

The Champion gets four attacks on the charge, after the tank gets blown up with meltas, which should be fine, I think.

Thanks!

Working things out in my head without the Codex, your CSM squads are seriously wrong in your points estimation. I put them at 255pts, 80pts than you thought!

I think the PM's should come out at 185pts too, so 10pts less than you thought there also.

I can't remember the exact costs for the Princes so I won't try with them, although 175pts looks about right, but the Havocs should be 155pts IIRC.

Overall, I think the troops and HQ are solid. Personally, I'm not a big fan of Havocs, I much prefer predators which can provide equal firepower, for less, with armour saturation and the ability to move and shoot also, so I'd advise dropping the Havocs for Predators or Obliterators.

Otherwise, it looks pretty good on the whole. If you do keep the Havocs then I'd recommend IoCG, as you should consider on the CSM's also, but they'll need it less so with Ld10 and 10-men..,

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

I personally would take obliterators over havocs any day of the week. The Invul has saved my ass on more than one occasion. As for the CSM squads I feel that a squad of plasma plague marines would accomplish the same task much better. I only say this as the short ranged nature of the army means that regular CSM marines tend to die alot in order to close, while plague marines have an edge in survivability.
As for the terminicide melta squad Ive had better luck with outflanking chaos chosen. 5 meltas v. 3. While they dont have the deployment flexibility I feel the 140pts outflankers is enough to herd vehicles into fire lanes and if ur lucky they pop out where you need them and frag a tank. and if they dont die horrifically they can pick off a couple devastators

Lot of solid choices so you can roll with what you have (if you work out the point values) but there are some things I would personally change:

1) Troops - Why are your plague marines using the melta and your regular csm using the plasma? Why not swap over some of the plasma to your PMs for some protection from "gets hot" and also because they are going to be doing more standing and shooting(blight grenades are there to protect you from charges) while the regular csm are better designed for assaulting.

2)Heavy Support - I'm a big fan of havocs. They are the cheapest way to get the majority of our heavy weapon choices. I would still try to make either one squad entirely an autocannon squad or mix autocannon and missile launchers. They give you a much wider range of fire support and the AC give you the volume of high strength fire that is needed to drop some of these nearly invulnerable enemies that come out with each new codex.

The other option is to attempt to squeeze the points for two oblits from somewhere if you can. Havocs + oblits mixed together is a pretty strong combination. With one providing lots of cheap and versatile support and the oblits providing just the right tool for the job (as well as plasma cannons which are phenomenal). My main problem with oblits is their cost:shot ratio. Such a high cost for a single shot, even if that shot is a solid weapon. For the same price you can get 4 str 7 shots via autocannon havocs or 2 str 8 ap3 missile shots(while keeping the same amount of wounds and spreading it over more models).

In the embrace of the great Nurgle, I am no longer afraid, for with His pestilential favour I have become that which I once most feared: Death.

that works out to 1725 by AB, but for some reason wouldn't let me mount the two CSM in rhinos, so i tacked the last 70 points on.

if you're aiming for 1850 you could switch a bunch of those ML to Lascannons!
