Subject: Painting in Bahrain

I am currently deployed to Bahrain, I just made a relatively large order to Games Workshop, to practice my painting before I go home and paint my real Army. However little did I know they cannot ship me aerosol can...As this is my preferred primer method I am slightly disheartened....
So to get to my point, does any Dakkite know of any hobby stores located in Bahrain so that I may get some primer and possibly some other paint colours that i did not think of when i ordered my shipment.
(hopefully If I do find one I can control my impulse buying......probally wont be able to....lol)

If you are stationed in Bahrain, I'd think you could find spraypaint in your local PX/BX. If not, ask them if they can special order some for you. Alternatively, make friends in the local base maintenance facility and see if they'd be willing to give you a can of black primer. Just don't use CARC.

Your best bet is to have your people at home pre-prime your sprues and send them to you. Better for you, better for them.
As far as the hobby shop run, i'm going to go with a negative, there.
Of course that doesn't stop you from asking one of your locals to go get you some.....

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |
