Heh, I read the title and for a moment thought you were giving away $250,000 (not sure if the same is true in the US, but 'grand' is slang for a thousand over here, so 250 grand = 250,000)

Yes is slang for $1000 but grand prize is also a phrase here I will add a - to make sure there is no confusion

So i have to wait till june to buy and paint them?

You don't have to wait till June To buy them, but you need to wait till June 1 to Unbox, Assemble and paint. You have till June 30th to finish your army. On June 30th you should upload another reply video showing off your army. The Cool guys teem will review all the entries and pick a winner. After we pick a winner will contact them and ask them for both the army list and the receipt for what they got and we will then pay for the purchases up to $250 US. The point is to make and paint a small army in one month.

So the prize is just a refund of what was spent, not $250?

Balls to that? You get to keep all the miniatures so you wind up with a FREE 600 point army if you win. It includes any miniatures you buy to make a legal standard force organization 500-600 point complete army including any forgeworld miniatures up to the cost of $250. It is not a "refund" because you don't give the miniatures back and they are not defective. So you get your entire army paid for if you win.

The army must have a min of 500 points

2 Troops

If you win you get what you spend paid back and you get to keep your army.

I think the idea is cool enough, especially if you are starting an army anyway.

I'd give this a shot if Necrons new codex and models were already out. I still need to finish existing Salamanders and Necrons.

Does it have to be a 40k army or does Fantasy work as well?

About the " Must provide a receipt" Can I buy from my FLGS and provide a receipt from there, or it must come from a GW Store.

I'm asking because there is no GW Store in my area ( 200km radius that is. )

You can buy the items from what ever distributor you wish. We are simply paying you back at the GW online store price to be fair. So if you get a 50% discount at your local store will be reimbursing the GW Price up to $250.

EX
If you buy a Space Marine Combat squad. We will pay you $22.50. If you paid more for it or less than it we will not be covering the difference. Lets say at your local store you get a 20% discount you will still get the GW price.

So I buy a minimum of two GW troops and a hq choice's from wherever and if I win I get $250 to spend on GW's on line store. Nice idea but I hate the thought of GW getting any more money from me or anyone else after recent events...

Unless you live near a GW store, there are no guarantees that your product will arrive before the end of June.
