The Only Game In Town http://www.togit.com/home will be holding a 2000 point 40k tournament on June 25th. It will be run using the NOVA style format, meaning it's a win/loss system with a primary, secondary, and tertiary objectives. Scoring will be done by a win loss system first, where the only undefeatd player at the end of the day will be the tournament champion.

It's a fairly complicated. but very accurate system for figuring out strength of schedule, much more so than battle points. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions about it, I'd be happy to explain it.

Painting will not be required, but highly encouraged. There will be a paint score, which will be done seperately from "battle points". There will be prizes for Tournament champion (only player to go undefeated), Overall champion (50% battle, 50% paint), best painted, and prizes for the 4 other 3-1 finishers.

It will be a 4 round RTT, with registration opening at 9:30 and dice rolling around 10:00am.

We can only accomodate 16 people due to limited space.

Missions will be taken straight from the missions from NOVA. As in, standard deployment types, primary, secondary, tertiary objectives which consists of 5 objectives, table quarters (by victory points), and kill points (win by 3).

I've been to a couple of events at The Only Game in Town and they put on a good event. The local guys are nice and feature some serious competition. I'll be heading down there and I would recommend it to anyone else within driving distance.

Well Frank, the store owner would be running it. That is to say he would be in charge of the scores and prizes and what not. However, he does not fully understand the the Nova format, so I'd be helping to make sure he does the scores properly. So, more like I (or anyone else who understands the format, including other willing attendees) would be double checking his work. Paint scores and such would be totally done by him and another employee, Mike however.

It would be good to see you with your orks at this one. As it stands we might be able to push it to 18 depending on what else is goign on that day.

I figure here is as good a place as any, but per Nick's request, a NOVA Open Weekend Badge and ALTERNATE Invitational spot to the attendee of his choice for this.

I won't be but I've done this regularly as I work in the city and take the train to the store on Wednesdays most weeks.

It's really easy, just take any train from NY Penn to Newark Penn, then take the Raritan line to Somerville. From the station it is about a 5-10 minute walk, you just go up one long street and then around a corner.
