Ugh. I read the article, and I'm sick of the "If you buy the game at Stuckey's, it unlocks a Pecan-Log Narthecium!".

The Collector's Edition looks smoking hot, but I have a feeling that most of it would just sit and collect dust (at least at my house).

So stick the Purity Seal on your Car...

Uhm...you're sick of it until you have to use it.

Yeah, the purity seal's cool, but once I stop to think about it, I realize that this stuff will just sit around. At least with the WAR collectors edition I got a model to paint.

Awesome, sold! I love art books, everything after that is hearty meat gravy. I can't wait for this game even though Space Marines and 40k were totally stolen from Gears of War.

Also depending on where you pre-order your copy you get different skins packs so you don't have to play as Ultramarines I guess. That's got to be good for the vast amount of people who didn't like that it was an ultramarines game.

But the game has a large portion of close combat...

Seriously... I dunno why all the games gotta do that these days. Just put it all up as DLC for everyone...

The nerd in me will buy this.. at full retail (something I dont usually do for brand new 360 games xD usually wait) but don't mind playing this at the office ;D.
Collectors edition... probably not... maybe I'll just buy it and resell it to one of you fellas who would love TWO purity seals.. just cause haha.

But one question... anyone hear anythinggggg about their multiplayer? I mean it'll be cool to do single player no doubt... but I'm totally a fan of.... mass mayhem with friends.. haha

no I was joking just saying they should just add all that extra stuff as DLCs for everyone instead of making it so you can only get it if you buy from a certain store.

I would like to see a playable beta before I commit to a pre-order. A 8" Marine would have ben much snazzier, like the KZ3 edition with the Helghast helmet and Marksman figure. All in all though, a pretty cool collectors edition.

Traitor Legion armour skins sound A+. Any idea what the cards are about though?

Not necessarily as it really depends on the company. Halo preorder bonuses as well as Gears of War stuff wasn't available for purchase where as the one you mentioned and Marvel Ultimate Alliance stuff was later on. I used to get excited about the gold weapons until I actually used them in Gears of War. Much like the flaming skull head in Halo, they're VERY noticable even from across the map and tend to turn you into a massive fire magnet. The alternate skins might be cool though but I'm not seeing the Blood Angels or Dark Angels.. hopefully they'll be unlocked in the actual game instead of a paid type bonus.
