Predator Annihilator Prime- TLLC /w LC sponsons Obvious role, super expensive, but gives 3 s9 shots.
Predator Annihilator- TLLC /w HB sponsons Does not seem to have a proper identity, replacing the autocannon without LC sponsons does not seem like a point efficient investment.
Predator Destructor - AC /w LC sponsons Seems efficient very efficient for attacking medium tanks, no experience using it.
Dakka Pred AC /w HB sponsons Proven swarm shredder, cheap.
I'll personally be testing out option 3(Destructor with LC sponsons for ~125 as per BT codex ) since it fits my HS point slots pefectly. Please give me feedback on this one, at all efficient?

I think you'll be very happy with the variant you're using. I thought the Annihilator was pretty good, until I started running into problems with point allocation, and honestly it was just too expensive. The AC/LC is a good all-round variant for anti light vehicles and MC/Heavy Infantry. The Devastator (AC/HB) variant is great as Anti-Infantry in general, and is the cheapest variant you can have. Both are good at what they do, but the AC/LC variant is the most versatile.

If you could take them in squadrons, Dakka preds would be great. Unfortunately they're competing for highly valuable Heavy Support slots. My vote goes to the Destructor.

In lower points games (< 1000), they tend to be pretty effective. Most other Heavy Support choices tend to give a smaller return on their points, so a Predator is a good all round choice for smaller games. Vindicators would be next in line, IMO.

I thought BT get the TLLC/LC variant much cheaper then 5th ed marines (145pts vs 165pts IIRC). Would the Annihilator prime not be the best choice for BT?
For 5th ed marines, its Auto/las hands down. Bargain for 120pts.

TY for the feedback, going to roll two of them on Saturday. I'm running two squads of 2xCML Terms so they're eating up a lot of points so I have to sacrafice in the HS area.
@Steve Yea, our Annihilator Prime is 145.

IMO, for that price, take the prime.

I normally run the Dakka pred, because its cheap and effective, but I run Vanilla, so they are 25 pts cheaper than what BT get them for. BT gets the autolas for 5 pts more than SMs, but only 20 pts less than the all LC variant.
For BT, I would probably not take dakka preds (unless that is the firepower type you are lacking), and go for either autolas, or Prime. The extra points for the prime can be hard to come up with if you take more than one though. I guess its one of those if you have points, spring for the upgrade deals.

I call the AC/Las pred the 'combi-pred' and used to lobby very heavily to get that name adopted as a standard, so everyone knows what everyone else is talking about. While destructor sounds cool, I dont know of it being the 'canon' name for that variant.
That said, the combi-pred for the 5th ed marines is by far the most efficient points wise, effective for almost any opponent. The dakkapreds at 85 points are IMHO a waste as the hbolter is so weak versus vehicles and does not have enough of a torrent of fire for 85 points to be better than dedicated assault units.
For templars, the pred anni is the best variant for the cost, but templars get lots of great buys like 2 cyclone tankhunting termies, cheap typhoons, and 5 man las plas for 101 points.
