I did this up late last night and it is a W.I.P -- While I have not been trying to create kits to use for 40k I am not against it --

This is my Strider kit with some green stuff and 40k bitz -- I have been wanting to do a IG force with sentinels and rough riders since I am making 9 for my self I figured I would see if any interest in a kit -- it would be 20 and would require the buyer to add a head as well as the 40k gun desired --

This is just a mock up to give a ideal - I don't want to put a lot of time and effort if no interest as how it is now is fine for my uses.

I like it. It's not as "eggy" as the old Sentinel was. The only think I'd think is make some kind of a mount so you can put more than just the assault cannon on it since the Sent has a lot more weapons options.

When you say it would be twenty, you mean 20$?
Because if that is the case you can count me in for 3 of them (a squad).
I love that model and was looking for something 40k to do with it.

I think I'd prefer it more without the pilot sticking out the top, but I understand that that was a crucial part of the rogue trader esthetic's, and so I'm generally ok with them.

Pretty cool.

that is one of the things I am playing around with is the driver I think by using the front Green stuff area as more of a windshield and from side you would only have the head seen --

I will post some more photos tonight of ideals -- I thought about a enclosed canopy but since I am using them for a praetorian themed army wanted the head to show

they would be $20.00 -- this model is actually the 15mm variant of the strider the 32mm strider is 100% larger and would be about 180mm tall or roughly 8 inches -

Sod GW sentinels, these are cracking for many a Sci Fi setting. Nice work.

Love that gangly look.

A covered cockpit add on may be worth a thought?

I wouldn't call this a conversion kit by any stretch of the imagination - it recalls the RT design in some ways, but I think it's a walker all your own. Just sculpt your own guns to go on the undercarriage and you're good to go! I'd think about getting some if I didn't already have nine Sentinels!

Definitely interested, I could see that with the clunkier XV8 battlesuits as a broadside (after a quick conversion/glue job of course).

Might you also release just the legs, for us kit bashers who want to mock up some of the spider tanks from the Sabbat Worlds Crusade?

Riddle me this: what has four sides, moves twelve inches, and moved fourteen?

I like it. Yeah, it looks a little tight for the pilot, but that's certainly in keeping with the original inspiration.

I would second the call for some original guns and crew and just release it as a kit in its own right.

Second that, and glad you chose the 15mm one. The proportions match those of an old Sentinel well.

Sure it can stand on its own, but it also makes a great alt-Sentinel, and advertising it as such (especially for forces like Praetorians or anything Heresy-throwback) would be a nice addition to what it would sell on its own.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Very nice looking, and I agree with those calling for it to be its own kit.

Just leave the head and guns as seperate parts.

180mm is 7.08 inches (25.4mm/inch). Still, I didnt realize they were that big...might have to add one to my large scale mecha collection.

It looks great. I was a fan of the original Sentinal...the 2nd edition one that appeared to be made out of shoe boxes was a bit of a let down.

Couldn't you just have a close topped/armoured "plug" that fits into/over the driver for people that don't want an exposed pilot?

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I think the chassis looks a little too well armoured,
which looks odd allowing for the exposed pilot.

The original sentinel had a chassis that looked cheap and thin so the exposed pilot did not appear out of place.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

I could not find that in your store...how much is the 32mm version?

Also - love the idea of the walker.

That is very nice. It isn't as eggy as the original but it is a very nice modern look that still suggests the old eggy look. I would pick up three or six of them.

3500 pts Black Legion
3500 pts Iron Warriors
2500 pts World Eaters
1950 pts Emperor's Children
333 pts Daemonhunters

the 32mm version has not been printed yet it is quite a project and will get done once the Russian heavy armored suits are finished -- I currently have 8 releases that are not ready but sculpted -- the below image is next up along with 2 more variant of the battle ravens and 3 figures of the 32mm range of valkyur and the 32mm stoat then the large strider kit.

Like it lots. A few suggestions:
- make the cockpit/pilot a separate bit, for easy replacement by people who don't like the 'jammed-in pilot' look or who want to add a fully armoured cockpit
- also do a fully armoured cockpit add-on (see above)
- also sell the legs separately, for those who want to make their own walkers - legs are a pain to scratchbuild

That's a really cool piece, I like how you've taken the original concept and put on your own spin, and it comes out nicer than the modern walkers available. I think a hoop a-la open top racers would make the pilot look a bit safer, other than that I would have to say that I would be very tempted to purchase a couple.

It really looks like a superiorly sculpted and concieved cross between the egg sentinel and craptastic metal one that followed it.
