Struggling to identify some of the minis in the last picture in todays necromunda article. Have they used a poxwalker on the big bellied guy at the top?
I don't recognise the guy in the centre front and where are the heads with mohawks from?

So...Leader, two Champions and your fodder. Replace Leader and Champions with Named Persona or Guild at your leisure. If that Leader (and Champions) have House connections then Venator gangs are a thing of the distant past.

I unironically hope that HBMC is right and a bunch of Dramatis Persona are reprinted in this book. (Then I can never pull out my Book of Peril ever again.)

I think that was the intention with the kit, more or less. I wonder what comes next. The timeline says allies. Will be interesting to see where things go with N22.

It really does seem that this is going to be the “your guys” book, even more so than normal Necromunda.

Operating a gang led by a special character with their own preexisting background is "your guys?" Guild fighters with preset equipment loadouts is "your guys"?

Oh so they're lying, and every gang in the book actually has to be based around a special character?

I'm in the realm of Venator with better profile and less boring list building, but let's just reserve our judgement until the book came out.

Yes! Even if you have to build that special character with this book!

In fairness, a quick reading of one of the articles does give the appearance there might mainly be a selection of fixed special characters you can choose from as your leaders, which I could certainly have believed given increasingly restricted equipment options and special-character-focussed rules in e.g. 40k/AoS/Warcry/Kill Team. I suppose Underworlds is perhaps the ultimate version of that. This article, that is: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/09/22/4-times-the-outcasts-were-the-real-heroes-of-the-underhive/
Perhaps Alrtruizine overlooked the other article that has the most informative statements you pulled from above, and which makes it sound rather more versatile indeed: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/09/20/build-the-low-down-dirty-outlaw-gang-of-your-dreams-with-the-book-of-the-outcast/
That said, it remains to be seen how true "gives you all of the options you’ll need" will be, though it sounds promising so far.

I’m really interested in the “building an Outland settlement” rules, as whilst not intending the gangs to be Outlaws, the founding of a settlement is the core of my forthcoming campaign.

So to have a chunk of the work done for me, and in a way my players can freely access? That’s very, very welcome! Sure there will be inevitable tinkering, there always is, especially when I’m running a campaign. But set core rules still very much welcome!

And can we all breathe a collective sigh of relief that with the House Of books out, we’re seemingly not on the precipice of a third retooling of the gangs!

I look forward to the day GW crosses the Rubicon and puts out 2 different editions of a game in the same year.

2 different editions in the same book, you read one and when you get to the end it says it's superseded by the second half of the book.

And the book itself costs 2.5 times as much as one book used to cost previous edition

Once codex or army book cycle is complete, the scrolls say a new edition must be spawned. And with COVID-19 in play and a new edition possibly not out until early’22, the year math will make it look like this one lasted five years instead of 49 months.

Let's not be silly here. Then they only sell you one book.

Nah. Two books at the same time, regular edition and special edition. Both will be different, and both will be legal, at the same time.

When you need to make a decision, each player buys loot boxes from the Warhammer + app.

The artwork they provided looks like he's wearing enforcer armor, which fits with the renegade theme. Though, he's missing a hood

That sounds like a lot of "your guy" and not a lot of "your guys."

But then again the concept of "your guys" is pretty dumb to begin with, when "counts as" reskinning is an acceptable thing in most non-braindead gaming communities.

My money is on "Venators+" as other people have described it.

My first thought on seeing them, and I still am of the opinion, is that these new models were supposed to be juves/prospects, who haven't earned their gang uniforms yet and had lower-grade guns.

There's a new and largely useless article about the Underhive Market up on WarCom.

The only items of note are towards the end:
GW wrote:Along with market stalls and a pair of horologium (to keep track of how long you’ve been shopping), the kit includes loads of accessories to personalise your corner of the underhive, including mugs, piles of coins, signs, and much more.

It’s fully compatible with the existing Zone Mortalis sets, letting you set up your market wherever you like. It’s quick to take down too – in case you get a surprise visit from the Subjugators.

The Underhive Market is coming out later in the year, alongside the Underhive Outcasts and the Book of the Outcast. Sign up for our newsletter to make sure that you don’t miss the latest updates on the Outcasts or any other Necromunda news.
That 'later in the year' part took me a bit by surprise.

I figured the new AT book, the AI expansion, the new Khorne BB team and this kit/new book/new Gang would be all dealt with in a kind of 'Specialist Omnibus' week of releases, perhaps next weekend.

Guess not.

Yeah, I thought that odd. Specialist Games have been pretty dry of releases for a while and with the amount of articles this week, I'd have expected a pre-order within the next week or so.
