Jarl Skuld is an infamous bandit and highwayman who has become an unlikely guerilla leader among the desperate trollkin remaining in the Thornwood. A skilled gunfighter, Skuld uses a pair of customized, rune-scribed pistols to deadly effect. With lightning raids and devastating ambushes against Cryx, Khador, and other enemies of his people, Jarl Skuld has truly earned the moniker “Devil of the Thornwood.”
Troll gun mage warlock. Hell yes.

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

I hope he is useful with a non-shooty army.
I like him, but am not buying all the shooty units just to use him.

I would not want to be pistol whipped by that particular troll. I'm sure he'll do fine in melee.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better. |

On the PP forums there was discussion about his having an axe and so probably not having the rules that allow shooting-in-melee or the like. However, I can't make out an axe here, perhaps there's an alternate view somewhere?
September is good, but... so far away... sadface.

If you go to the PP website, you can see a 360 shot of Jarl. He has an axe strapped to his back. This is a really nice sculpt, I don't like the brass on the pistols though. Gonna make mine cobalt

Very nice sculpt! And the art for the new Gator Lock is up in today's insider too. He's an undead(ish) Gator and if the model is half as good as the art it's going to be fantastic!

The gators tempt me a lot, too- it's a shame the only gator "unit", that you need a good number of, looks fairly bland/lame. The gator warbeasts and warlocks are sweeeeeet...
