I use in my ork army warbuggies converted from deffkoptas. I was playing someone the other night who was telling me that my models were not legal as they should be 2" wide and mine are only 1" . Do I need to modify the models or was he just sore from losing?

Welcome to the internet, and specifically a gaming forum.

If your choice of game is not made in a blood oath that can only be broken by a quest and vow made with the most overwrought dramatics, then you aren't doing it right. -curran12

He was just sore from losing. If it was a tournament, then he might have a case, but if it was just a pick up game, then that should be fine.

Next time you play him tell him that trukks are allowed to be about 3 inches by 2. Also that ork meks never use bloo-printz

He was a pervuncular (good word ! ) rules lawyer being a TFG.

Buggies are insanely fragile and easy to kill anyway, so if he was having issues with it...

If you want to be 'legal' ad a 1/2 inch strut to either side, somewhere on the hull, with a matching one on the other side... there.. 2'' wide

Tournaments generally perfer the actual models for the unit to be used, but with orks this hits a grey area somewhat.

Only orks can get away with using a non 'ork' model as ork, or building one from spare bitz..

I'd email the TO and ask them

yeah if i was playing eldar and wanted to use something like this its probably a no go but orks seem to be able to do what they want model wise.

I say if you can build it, it's legal with orks, as long as it looks roughly like what it's representing.
