Meanwhile we still have no updates on the remaining Warpath vehicles, don't think we'll be getting those before 2018.

we won't be getting them until 2018 update #89 covered this

Today we have a brief update on the tooling progress of the remaining vehicles for you:

Mule: the moulds are completed and we will get our first test shots sent to us this week.
Asterian vehicle: The moulds are scheduled to complete next week, with test shots to follow shortly after.
Hornet: The moulds will complete in early December, again with first test shots after.
We are really excited to have all these nearing completion and to see the results, and we are sure you are all keen to get them into your armies! If we're happy with the test shots, production will begin in December and we'll start shipping as soon as possible in January. As soon as we receive the samples we will take pictures and show them in another update.

there were was a mule and what looks to be the add on bits from for the plague version in one of the open day shots too if you want a glimpse of what it will look like (presumably resin masters rather than the final plastic though)

I was surprised to see all of the teams in the rule book pdf today I thought they were being kept separate. I was going to re-listen to Ronnie's seminar to confirm what he said but it's gone from Facebook - the other 2 are still there. I wonder if there was some misinformation somewhere along the line. I wonder what the other 2 teams for the retail release are? Neo-bots, Yndij, Mutsudan and Cyborgs are a given.

apparently the recording device failed for Ronnie's talk so even all that ever showed up was write-ups from people who were there (I know as I was looking for it at the time)

I watched it live on Facebook and my notes came from the Facebook broadcast so it was definitely there. I may have misinterpreted some of what Ronnie said as I didn't get a chance to rewind and go back over details as I'd normally do with a video, I only had the time to watch it live and scribble notes as it went on and Ronnie can ramble off a bit at times

Weird, I remember looking for it and only finding questions about why it wasn't around, the odd incomplete write up and that explanation....

wonder if he said something he shouldn't have and they pulled it down because of it?

If he said something he shouldn't have I'm that much more interested in it!

Haven't had a chance to look, but do the new rules incorporate the EXTREEEEEEEEME teams in as well?

I ended up with around 7 teams that I didn't order. Would love to see them get some use.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I think it's the case of the kick-start rules having all the games but the normal release rules won't. But the extra team rules will be available online.

I couldn't get into the room for that talk as it as too full.

The impression I got from reading an account of Ronnie's talk was that all the teams would be in the rule book but only a selection of the teams would be available via retail channels (at least initially). The remainder of the teams will be available direct from Mantic. The reason given IIRC was that retail channels really didn't want to have to carry that many different SKUs.

yeah that was part of it, Ronnie pointed towards it going a bit like MTG (if i understand MTG correctly, which is completely probable i don't) . So there would be 6ish current teams that form the season that have a certain captain and are more balanced to each other. These can then be rotated out with the legacy teams bringing in new captains etc.

99.9% certain they are the same rulebook. It's one big rulebook.

Look guys it's fairly simple. Mantic want to keep Dreadball to a small sku number so they don't flood retailers. Six nicely sculpted new teams will be launched alongside Dreadball for trade. The rest of the teams rules are in the rulebook and can be gotten direct from Mantic.

Does the new rule book have the same kind of flavor text the previous Dreadball rule books had? The satirical take really sold me on the DB/DZ/Warpath setting.

Here's a sample for you.

The maiden Ultimate Exhibition match held under the new rules is still remembered for setting
several records which stand to this day. The game saw 47 fans involved directly in the match, leading
to a record for more injuries to crowd members than players on the pitch in a single game. The
euphoric response to the new rules also saw the highest number of new subscribers to the payper-
view match format in the history of the game, and the influx of new teams – all of whom were
represented in the six-way match up – meant that the game broke all previous records for viewer
numbers throughout the GCPS. Credit for credit, it is simultaneously the most expensive (thanks to
lawsuits, official censure from all the major vid networks, and the number of additional personnel
required) and the most profitable single game in DGB history.

Oh yeah, that's the good stuff.

Was this send via PDF link to all backers, or did I need to pledge big for it? I didn't see it in my email yet.

So, I went straight for the blue pieces (because Blaine), and said, "there's the forgefather. There's Diego. There's Diego. Wait. There's only supposed to be one Diego."

I'm not sure I remember his name correctly as I am a fire and forget pledger, but I'm talking about the Merc with the flamethrower. I'll have to check later to see what miniature the duplicate displaced, if any.

Good sir, enjoy your exalt for that excellent idea.

Looking forward to Star Saga reviews; skipped the KS but I always have a soft spot for crawler-type games.
