Okay, trying again to work out a crazy (CRAZY!) WH list. This one does have more faith, but gives me a chance to use some of the models that would be less than efficient, but are still neat/fun

Unnamed 1850 WH Army:

HQ

  • Canonness: Blessed weapon, BP, frag, book, JP, litanies, cloak
  • Palatine: Eviscerator, Book, frag
  • Priest (with zealots): ccw/LP

Troops

  • 16 Zealots w/3 Fanatics (eviscerators)
  • 10 SOBs, w/Vet, Melta/HF, Rhino (smoke/EA)
  • 10 SOBs, w/Vet, melta/HF, Rhino (smoke/EA)
  • 10 Armored Fist IG: Vet, Las/plas; Chimera w/EA, PMHS, searchlight
  • 10 Armored Fist IG: Vet, Las/plas; Chimera w/EA, PMHS, searchlight

Fast Attack:

  • 8 Seraphim w/Vet (Eviscerator), 2 HF

Heavy Support:

  • Exorcist
  • Exorcist
  • 2 Penitent Engines

6 faith, plus the litanies, which is middling-fair, in my opinion. Chimerae provide cover for the rhino-borne sisters, with the seraphim, pen-engines and zealots doing mop-up duties. IG squads and exorcists provide ranged firepower; Canonness, Palatine and Seraphim provide leadership bonuses (Palatine to stay with the IG troops).

I know some of the choices are still a little odd, to say the least, but I think this list is a little more competitive and a bit less spendy.

So, thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I like this one better. I still can't see it being that compeitive, but for fun games it should be entertaining to play, and more importantly, will probably be fun to play against.

Why a Palatine? Even when trying to be generous to the "lesser" models in the WH range, she's just bad. 10 more pts buys you another faith, leadership, and a wound... git'r'dun.

My guess is he takes a palatine for the same reason I take one...
Two Canonesses is just...unfluffy. I really wish they made her(the canoness) a 0-1 choice. Two in the same list makes little to no sense from a fluff-perspective.

I'd try to shave some points from somewhere and bulk up that zealot squad to 20. Alot of people think zealots aren't that great, but a unit of 20 with a few eviscrators and maybe a flamer or two are reaaally scary..expecially if you have mobile cover(which you do..rhinos and chimeras) to hide behind.

Aside from that, not bad. I personally don't like IG in WH armies, but that's my own preferences.

Thanks guys!

The palantine was to get another faith point; I keep forgetting that canonnesses aren't 0-1. Truthfully, I was debating her or an inquisitor with psychic hood to deal with crazy psychic greebles. And, I'll probably use one of the inquisitrix figs to rep her anyway. A canonness could work, though.

I originally wanted 20 zealots in the unit, but it was either that or the second exorcist. I'll play with points and see if I can't figit things around again.

Babbey: My full sisters list doesn't have any non-sisters in it: it relies exclusively on faith, flame/melta/bolt weapons, rhinos and exorcists! This was more of an experiment, and an excuse to use different figs with my WH.

I'll keep playing with it. Keep coming with the suggestions!
