So recently I got a tonne of Warhammer Quest figures and have recently started a new D&D campaign, so thought I would post pictures of the painted miniatures.

These two were painted for an old D&D campaign, and they appear in the new campaign as special characters.

Turin Salindar - Half-elf Fighter
(Miniature - Chaos Slaanesh Champion)

Zoltar - Human Sorcerer
(Miniature - Chaos Sorcerer)

Next up are the four new Heroes venturing into the Realm of Ragir. These were painted for last weekend's first adventure.

Tobias Book - Human Paladin
(Miniature - Empire Greatsword)

Claudius - Elf Ranger
(Miniature - Wood Elf Ranger)

JT - Half-elf Rogue
(Miniature - Wood Elf Ranger)

Mala'keth the Gnome
(Miniature - Orcs & Goblins Snotling)

Finally, some monsters that have been painted. I won't post all of them, but will put one or two of each type so you get an idea of the paint scheme.

Albino Lizardman
(Miniature - Lizardmen Skink)

Lizardmen
(Miniatures - Lizardmen Skinks)

L-R: Reptile, Snake, Lesser Vargoyle, Rat, Spider
(Miniatures: Lizardmen Reptile Swarm, Lizardmen Snake Swarm, Chaos Sorcerer Familiar, Skaven Giant Rat, Plastic Glow-in-the-Dark Spider)

EDITS: Removed broken Flickr links, changed to resized gallery pics

Haven't done too much painting the last couple of days, but here is a finished Zombie and Chaos Warrior. I understand that I will painting a lot more Zombies if we head North in our campaign....

Zombie
(Miniature - Undead Zombie)

Chaos Warrior
(Miniature - Chaos Warrior)

I experimented with different varnishes on these models. Gloss on the intestines and parts of the Chaos Warrior's armour. I've actually had problems with my Matt paint-on varnish, its been drying dusty. I'm not sure if its the humid weather or the age of the varnish, so I brought some new stuff today.

Next up are Orcs for Fridays adventure...

Looking good. Brilliant idea to use the familiar as a Vargouille. Subscribed.

Yeah, liking everything in here. Any kind of Warhammer Quest themed stuff is always fun in my book. Will be watching with interest.

On to the Orcs!!

These made their debut last Friday, and gave the adventurers some trouble. These were all second hand from eBay apart from the Undead Orcs supplied by the DM.

Orc Archers
(Miniatures - Plastic Orc Archers)

Orc Warriors
(Miniatures - Various Plastic Orcs [eBay job lot])

Undead Orcs
(Miniatures - Plastic Orc Warriors)

The Orcs are very green. This is because I started wargaming in 1992. The Undead Orcs are a mix of Goblin Green and Codex Grey. I like that combination, and may use it for the remaining Zombies....

It's been a while since I posted anything, but I can see that this thread is super popular!

Anyway, I've painted up some mounts for our Heroes and a new figure for the Rogue.

First up is my personal favourite (and my character in the game too): the Gnome Illusionist Mala'keth riding his trusted Pig 'Bessie'.

Mala'keth on Pig
(Miniatures - GW Orcs and Goblins Snotling, Plastic Farmyard Pig)

Next is the Paladin Tobias in his questing gear, and riding his Warhorse 'Warhorse'.

Tobias on Warhorse
(Miniature - GW Bretonnian Mounted Grail Knight)

The Pack Horse 'Yoshi the Green'. (It belongs to my Fiancee)

Pack Horse
(Miniature - GW Empire Mounted Knight (Minus Rider))

A Boar. You never know, the Rogue might decide to use it as a Mount?

Boar
(Miniature - GW Orcs and Goblins Plastic Boar)

Finally we have the new Rogue figure for JT. Much better than the old piece I think.

JT - Rogue
(Miniature - Reaper Rogue)

So that's about it for now. I've just painted a load of doors and tables and things, but they aren't all that spectacular to look at. I do need to finish 7 Human Prison Guards by Friday, so I'll post them up next.

These look great. Never had a chance to play quest. These make me wish that was being rereleased. Pig FTW!

Very nicely done indeed, it inspires me to get back to painting my Talisman models i have and get subbed in for our D&D games.

Got to finish my SM first though.

Pig FTW

The Prison Guards of Impel Down:

Human Foot Soldiers
(GW Empire Plastics)

These were painted pretty quickly. I've managed to get a lot better at painting eyes. Something I usually hate. Paint the black pupil, then the white edges! Much easier than trying to dot the black. Why didn't I try that before? Anyway, hopefully will have some Kobolds and Bugbears finished soon. Then might try and work through the smaller Warhammer Quest stuff. There's so much to do! All I've painted so far are 6 Orcs.........

Just a quick post with some pictures of the tiles we use, and a couple of pieces of scenery I've made recently.

Mine

Prison

Outdoors

The stone tiles were made with foam board/mount board, the grass tiles with sand/flock, furniture and doors with matches/cocktail sticks, pillars from corks and the rubble/stone pillars were rubble and stones from the common.

All the tiles have texture tape on the bottom to grip better on our gaming cloth. I've made quite a few of these tiles, there's a complete list on the D&D blog in my signature if you're interested. Now, I really should try and get some Warhammer Quest stuff done. Tempted by Kobolds though....

Young White Dragon

This was painted for a Dungeons and Dragons adventure that took place in a mountain pass. The end fight was a Young White Dragon, and he was pretty tough. The miniature is a Warmaster 10mm Dragon with the rider removed.
