Hi there,
In this Warhammer Historical newsletter we are excited to announce a new release for The Great War game, along with a whole host of downloadable content for our recent releases.

The Great War: Over the Top – Trench Warfare on the Western Front
From the pen of The Great War writer Alex Buchel comes Warhammer Historical’s next release - Over the Top. This supplement covers the period during the First World War from 1915 to 1918, adding a wealth of detail to its parent rulebook.

Over the Top contains a full year-by-year overview of the 1915-18 period, new Battalion-level army lists for British Empire, French and German forces, and a new army list for the American Expeditionary Force, including the Devil Dogs and US Tank Companies. It also contains detailed rules covering such actions as assaulting a trench line, or leading a hand-picked party on a trench raid, as well as background missions to set miniature wargames within the larger backdrop of some of the greatest actions of the First World War.

New rules are included to add to the scope of The Great War, including Heavy Artillery, a new Command and Control mechanism and full rules for fighting Big Battles: engagements such as Loos, Artois, Passchendaele, the Somme and Vimy Ridge, and this full colour 176-page, softback book is lavishly illustrated with maps, colour photographs of period militaria, and both colour and black-and-white photographs of a huge selection of miniatures and scenery.

Over the Top is available to order now for immediate despatch.

Gladiator and Kampfgruppe Normandy Downloads
With the recently-released Kampfgruppe Normandy and Gladiator rulebooks proving very popular, we have just added several additional pdf documents to the Warhammer Historical website to complement these products.

Barry Hill, writer of Gladiator, has written a detailed expansion, Barbarians in the Arena, which adds a huge amount of diversity to the game rules, reflecting the various nations and cultures found under the wing of the Roman Empire.

Warwick Kinrade, writer of Kampfgruppe Normandy, has provided us with a Rules Primer, which acts as a brief introduction to the game and a set of Experimental Rules covering the German Army’s use of hybrid vehicles and captured French armoured vehicles.
All these articles are available to download now from www.warhammer-historical.com.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Winds of Destiny would have been a better choice, but I wonder what the hell they are doing because they have announced that they are dropping Warhammer historicals so is this some last great push thing before the end?

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

I should probably pick up their Western and Pirate books before those vanish or worse, get rewritten.

When did FW announce that they were dropping Warhammer Historicals?

FW brought Historicals in house about 18 months ago & closed out the legal entity that was Warhammer Historical. Since then they've mostly chosen to ignore it. Did that change?
