Hey I was just wondering.... are Space Marine bikes THAT bad? I mean overall, power-armored bodies on Harely Davidsons doesn't seem to get much love by a fair number of gamers. I guess there is the fact that other races(Eldar) get BETTER bikes but Toughness 5 and the ability to zoom around with a metagun seems kinda nice.... I mean they look pretty cool but b4 I drop in and spend big $ buying them, I wanna know how they can serve the Emprah on the table. Any comments?

I've heard good things about Bike lists. The one thing that remains consistant though is that they aren't really good for tournaments. I'd love to run one, but really i just think Ravenwing is awesome. Outflanking Melta Bikes?! Yess

Yea, I carry a Dark Angels codex and if my financial supports allowed it I would love to run a Ravenwing army with Master Smael (wuz that how you spelled his name?). For less then a Land Raider, you get a supa-cool HQ unit who flies around in Land Raider armour!!

I ran a White Scars army for a while. Lots of bikes and a bunch of Landspeeder Typhoons. It is a lot of fun to play with, and can do very well. It does take some getting used to though, its one of those finese builds. If you're experienced with it, it'll work great, if not then it can just be frustrating.
