From the Kingdom Death Newsletter this morning;

Two New Releases!
Avaialble now at the Kingdom Death Store.

Back from GenCon Indy and filled with excitement! If you're curious about our impressions check out the [extremely neglected] blog here.

These two new releases, I am particularly proud of.

The Kings Men turned out to be a really powerful piece sculpted by Thomas David based on Yasmine Putri's concept art. His slightly "goofy" posture is an inspired mockery of medieval knight illustrations. The sculpt is packed with small interesting details on his unique armor crisply rendered by Thomas. This first run collectors edition is limitied to 250 casts and comes with a small hand numbered authtcity certificate & a hard plastic archival sleeve. Coolmini has scouped up 50 units, and Japan has put 40 on reserve, which leaves me with only 160!

The other release is the Pinup Great Game Hunter. We're releasing the Pinup ahead of the character sculpt for the first time. I wish I could say there was some mastermind plot behind it... but really it was just finished and ready to go faster!

The Great Game Hunters come from the largest existing city in the Kingdom Death world and despite how awesome they think they are, have very little knowledge of what is outside their gates. Or even HOW their city still exists. The artwork was drawn by Lokman Lam and she was sculpted by Yannick Hennebo. The piece includes her prostrate valet holding her crossbow. We've made her another general release, tho we only have an initial stock of 150 units.

I am trying to organize a ton of news to share with you but in the meantime here's a small tidbit. The Kingdom Death miniature range will soon [eventually?] introduce painting tutorials by some superstar painters! We'll go back over each general release and provide an indepth high quality painting tutorial online.

Thanks for the support.

Out of Stock

I apologize but we are currently out of stock on almost every general release. We planned to have them back sooner but production was a bit slower then we expected -_-.
I won something!

While at the convention, I happend to be 1 of 20 lucky winners to go home with an advanced copy of soda pop miniatues Super Dungeon Explore! The big box full of adorable monsters has certainly pleased me! John said that he is always looking for more fans so if your curious hop on over to soda pop's facebook page.

Additional views of the Kings Men and Big Game Hunter Pin-Up and some concepts were previewed on Beasts of war;
The Scribe,

And a 3D render of the Sun Stalker,

While Kingdom Death seems to attract the most attention for their outlandish (and certainly creepy) monsters, I have to say that both their pin-up and normal human figures are excellently done, and the Big Game hunter may finally break down my resistance to buying some of their figures... but, I may wait till they restock some of their other general releases.

I really like the knight , what size is he , as i'd love to line up a number and paint them as statues.It looks very medieval and the face on the breast plate is really good.

Red corsairs -2000 points
Empire army -2000 points
Cygnar-15pts

Very nice, though I don't think I can come up with a use for the 'naked man lounging in throne/chair' model.

Maybe Pre-Heresy Emperor in Prototype Golden Throne Contemplating Primarch Project?

Is that naked guy resting his feet on babies?!

According to their site the models are 35mm scale.

The models look fantastic though. I may not really have a use for them, but I might have to order some at some point anyway. They can sit next to my Rackham stuff. XD

Also... Sun Stalker O_O .. something something "bits order". XD

It looks as if they are part of the furniture, not actual babies.

I think.

Naked guy reminds me of Judge Caligula in AD 2000.

Nice keeping his fetus warm.

Lord Penile is an ugly little sack chocked full of nuts and looks pretty disturbing as well.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

First thing I thought of when I saw the lounging guy;

As we sat in the Korova Milk Bar...

/Every time I click on a Kingdom of Death thread I get ready to flinch--this is a pretty mild release for them

Now, these are really nice. Much better than that titty monster monstrosity, from a few months back. The knight despite what the blub says does not look medieval at all; try Final Fantasy. Nothing wrong with that though the minis are manga-esque anyway. I love the guy on the throne made of arms with baby foot stools.

If it comes out close to the control art, I'll buy him and use him as a for Ku'Gath the Plague father.

Hmmm...might get the Hunter just to get the slave mini.

I'm liking the millions-of-hands aesthetic. It's eerie, work-safe, and an aesthetic that hasn't been overdone. I hope they continue to focus on that rather than slopping breasts and penises everywhere.

I wish that "Sun Stalker" didn't look like a handicapped (lulz pun) shark with a tentacle-dong. Enough with the dongs.

Dear lord, I hope these are both still in stock when I get my next paycheck...

EDIT: Is there any chance of limited-run items coming back? I know it's kind of against the point, but a guy can dream, right?

I'll be interested in Kingdom Death stuff when I can buy their models at my leisure. It seems like every time I see one I like it's limited to 500 copies. I'm just not the sort that goes rushing after stuff like that.

I really hope they do manage to stock some of the older pieces, because I am seriously interested in the Forsaker model.

The Sun Stalker's 6th tentacle is no tentacle at all! Looks like a decent Slaaneshi spawn.

I love both of these new models btu I can never nail down what scale any of their stuff is. 35? 32? 30? 40? 45? Deos anyone have any comp pics?

I think somewhere on their site it says 32 scale, but that seems to be wishful thinking on their part. The comparison pictures on their site show them to be considerably larger than space marines.

That King's Men model is tempting... must not buy... must not buy...

*bought*

...I have no willpower.

On a side note, I really hope they re-release the Forsaker; that guy looks great.
