Hey guys. So I'm thinking of buying a good friend an Eldar battleforce.
Normally he just borrows my 'rines or orks if we play, but he really likes eldar (he's just been a little cash strapped). So for his b-day I was thinking of getting him the battleforce (can get it cheap from a friend). Where should he go from there?
I think he's trying for a 1000 point army to begin with. Other friends are going to grab some other stuff, depending on what I find out from the forum ^ ^.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

Pathfinders and Fire Prisms are good, you will need a Farseer. Your GW if you have one should be able to help you out.

2 Battleforces, a Farseer is a pretty solid start for an eldar army.

From there, just let him go down whatever path he fancies

Check out Dakka's Eldar army review to find out about the three basic types of Eldar armies.

The battleforce comes with units appropriate to two different types of armies, but is hard to run as a unified army. Consult with your friend with what kind of focus he'd prefer with his army, and go from there.

Where you least expect it...

Flavius is droping some prety haevy tactika for a beginer. But, yeah try to decide wich path to go. Mechdar is according to most people the best build to chose, but i like footdar. Footdar is so much more fun to play. Remember to decide wich role your units should play, you want them to do something specific not be all over the place whit different kinds of tasks. Btw, on a side note, Stellek does come down prety heavy on wraithguard, but we have to remember fortune.

just because i'm swedish doesent mean that i'm blonde. I just hapen to be anyway
