I wanna make some Thunderwolf Cavalry and my initial idea was to buy some Bloodcrushers and put some Space Wolves ''surfing'' them but, i was wondering if there was an alternative?

That sounds like it would end up looking really really bad. Automatically Appended Next Post: It would look good however if you were a greenstuff master and converted them to be imperial styled BCs with no chaos iconography, and converted sitting riders.

Why would you go to Army Lists for constructive criticism of modelling ideas?
There isn't really a cheap way to make thunderwolf cavalry without them looking just like you said, surfing some random object. If you're ok with that, then go for it. I don't know if that would still fall under the realm of being inexpensive though since you'd sill have to buy bloodcrusher mounts.
I personally wouldn't go that route since plastic space marine legs can be relatively easy to convert into a riding position with a little effort. You might consider looking around the internet for wolf models you like, I imagine they wouldn't be much more expensive than Juggernauts.

D&D Rime Hounds. They look nice, come nicely painted, and are about right on the scale. You'll have to make the legs for the Riders, or fix old ones, but it makes a nice substitute.

Now I won't bother lecturing on the etiquette of the internet, but you asked for tips, he gave his opinion of how things might turn out. Keep that in mind the next time sarcasm comes to mind. I won't touch on this again, save myself time and effort
Anyway, I've got a whole lot of this crap in my favorites list:
I purchased these, not too bad on the price:
http://www.paulsongames.com/catalog/item/7434381/8690755.htm
Some other mini's with saddles (on the cheap):
http://armorcast.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=116_110&products_id=1146
Also available here are these, with no saddles. Conversion?
http://www.paulsongames.com/catalog/item/7434381/8690765.htm
Again, if conversions are your thing, try 1 of these guys:
http://www.thewarstore.com/product55575.html
http://www.thewarstore.com/product68716.html
http://www.thewarstore.com/product68717.html
http://privateerpress.com/hordes/gallery/circle-orboros/solos/war-wolf
http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/wolf/latest/P02830A
http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/wolf/sku-down/02830
(I think these 2 might make better fenrisian wolves, b/c I'm not sure if they're big enough)
There's not too many wolf models the right size for conversion. Surfing SWs? I might try something like this:
http://colshofer.blogspot.com/2010/12/cavalry-space-wolves-from-gm-c.html
(not exactly "surfing," but the idea is there)
Otherwise, grab some of the basic GW mini's here:
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440021a&prodId=prod1290040&rootCatGameStyle=&_requestid=282872
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod1050050
And let the conversions begin. I can see a cool conversion coming from the Dire Wolves plus a bit of chain similar to the Colshofer blog link.
IF none of these links tickle your fancy, there are 2 routes for ya:
A) Suck it up
or
B) Find something else
Lol, not too many options for TWC, and especially not cheap. No "official" TWC miniature, no "official" TWC base size (I'm going 40mm), so that makes using TWC in any GW sanctioned tournaments REALLY annoying (aka impossible unless you buy lots of there ONE AND ONLY mounted miniature). I saw some miniatures that were bears with saddles, but i don't know ( imo they wouldn't look good, but to each they're own).
Also keep in mind, your "surfing" idea may do interesting things with line-of-sight during a game if he stands really high, essentially painting a big red target on his forehead. But, if that's what you want, keep searching.
Good luck.

Hm, those Paulson wolves look like about the nicest thing for TW's I've seen yet. They actually look like wolves, for a start!

I was extreemly disappointed that Paulson passedon the oppourtunity to make actual ThunderSquirrels It may have been enough to make me play space puppies and a rune druid.

This is what I plan on using.
I have shaved off the horns and I plan on doing some armor plates out of plasticard and adding some fur to build him up a bit. He is from the D&D miniature line.
Good luck.
