Dinosaurs and cowboys is a skirmish game in which you control around 5 cowboys and some times a dinosaur.
You can do a Campaign with the game so your characters can level up, get new gear and better dinosaurs. I personally really like the game and feel for it, and im going to start a campaign with some of my friends. SO STAY TUNED FOR BATTLE REPORTS

If your interested in the game you can find other things about the game and free rules download at his website http://dinosaurcowboys.wordpress.com/

Hey cody20 these turned out terrifically! I'll post the pictures up on the blog tomorrow, but I'm really impressed with your level of interest and the quality of the posse you assembled.

As he said the game is fast playing skirmish between competing posses of up to 6 members. The rules are written from the ground up using D12s as the basis. Any figures work so it's cheap to try...I've been proxying old 40k figures up until now, but cody20 definitely went above and beyond that with his creations!

As he said the rules PDF is free, so download the Dinosaur Cowboy rulebook or view it online if you're too psyched to wait for the file to save. I've posted a few battle reports here on Dakka in the past, or you can check out the latest battle reports to get an idea of the game. I'm always looking for feedback and ideas as the rules are still not totally finalized.

Anyways really happy to see the project and it's so cool to see the results. I'm really looking forward to any session reports you get going!

Thanks for the comments about my team. the campaign im working on is getting really cool, i haven't played any missions yet but im making the scenarios which have consequences rather or not you win or loose also, i saw also you can buy playing cards and dice so in the campaign poker games can be played and dice games to earn money not like a full poker game but a really fast type.

It does have futuristic stuff in it like you can use Rocket launchers and flamer throwers, riot grenades, needle rifles, all kinds of stuff.

Like my next team are going to be high tech looking with a T-rex that is armored

Haha I think the store is called "Happy Hen Toys" and has a dancing logo of a rooster on it. Always a bit amusing when those URLs combine into something unexpected though.

So hard to resist a pun Bosky

Those Papo toys are not too shabby if a little pricey.
There are a couple of local toy shops that stock them but am going to have to do without for a while. Would love to test out the game.

My dino cost $15.99
But the pre paint and how tough it feels is worth it. but a website

http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/category.php?sub-id=15000

has models that are pretty cheap that you have to paint but pretty good detail, i used the raptors set for my kroot once.

They have a set in there 6 different types of dinos for $16

I love papo dinos and im so glad they made a new version of the raptor, the first one was so big then the new came out and it looks really nice and not to big either. This is the newest one which ill be getting tomorrow!!

Yeah Papo toys are a little on the expensive side (I guess not as bad as a plastic Landraider though ), but they have really nice quality. Most of them remind me of the Jurassic Park movies (especially the t-rex), so I kind of wonder if they were released soon after those. I still haven't found a better option for toys that look good alongside painted figures though.
Here are a few shots of some of the ones I have:

It'd be fun to convert these a bit with saddles and harnesses and so on, since that'd really make them impressive centerpieces to a posse. Sort of along these lines (from Hexxenhammer's blog):

I want the dino on the very right with all the horns.

As for the Hexxenhammer's blog that triceratops is awesome with the deck thing on its back with people on it with turrets.

That's the Styracosaurus and I think it's a new one for 2011. It's kind of funny that you got the Ankylosaurus because that's one of the few I haven't bought yet, but is actually my favorite dinosaur from when I was a kid.

And yeah Hexxenhammer's figures sure are wicked and kind of remind me of Ork conversions since they are a bit ramshackle.

Yeah the Parasaurolophus ("Ducky") was one of the first two toys I got way back when. They look like such perfect herd animals.

I'm super psyched to see how the other posse looks. You've been really productive and fast and getting everything painted up!
