This model is superb. All the limbs are jointed so you can position it however you want. I've taken my time on this model, just under a week and a half to build and paint and every minute has been pure joy to paint such a beautiful model.

It's so hard to go back to GW plastic dreadnoughts after working on this model. I think I will buy these from now on for my Ultramarines as well.

I added 3 pieces of spare Grey Knight pieces to make it more Grey Knight like. The shoulder shield, the shoulder pad book and the groin shield.

I do love the contrast of dark oily ancient metal working gabbing and beautifully polished high shine blue steel armour.

Thats awesome! Great pose, great model and the metallic on the body looks very smart. How did you get the smoothness? In my limited experience, large flat ares of metallics always come up looking a bit blotchy. I'm assuming there's a blue wash over it too?

I love it, little details like the groin shield and the motif on the shoulder really give it the Grey Knight feel without going over the top. Brilliant

Cheers guys.

Reanimator, I mix glaze medium into my paints and airbrush on a base coat. I don't wash the model because it leaves tide marks.

Sihamoni takes great pride in the league he helped create, as was conveyed in his recent advertising campaign for the CMFL that stated his midgets will "... take on anything; man, beast, or machine."

I may not be wolf girl but I do know snow bases

Use pva glue and baking powder (not baking soda, don't get those mixed up. You come up with a very gummy substance that won't stick to wet hands/tools, so it's easy to mold and model. While the gum is still wet, sprinkle snow base over it. You get something that looks like this (Not the best example, since my necrons are supposed to look like they're trudging through heavy powder) :

Quite an amazing paint job on that dreadnought. It realllly makes me want an airbrush

Edit: I actually just posted a tutorial on powdery snow basing, if you're interested!

Very nice! Is the skull on the dreadnought's left shin freehand work?

And hooray for snow basing! I'm thinking of doing a snowy board for Armies on Parade next year, and the snow stuff that's come up here is very helpful.
