Hi
Thanks for the comments! After constant consulation, the deathwings are exactly to the chap's specifications! He did not want too much wash-only sepia in recesses! Everything was needed to be dirty and battleworn. Corteaz was a different matter as he wanted as close to the
GW version as possible! Some mould lines were annoying due to their position. I wouldn't go far as to say that there were mould lines all over the place! The main ones are left on the shoulders which are going to be padded.
As for the blending, the dual coloured sword was done as Les Bursley does his and the others were also airbrush blended!

Green and red details are not crisply painted into the areas they should be and lack highlight and shade.
Obvious mold lines show through the paint jobs.
Basing is not consistent.
Separate shoulder pads are an odd choice, why not glue them to the arms?
If I were paint judging this I'd give it a 5/10, average.
The pads were not glued to the arms due to the fact the chap wanted to choose where to put them! But as stated, everything else is exactly to the letter of the commission. I had to copy his painting methods from 5 photos. I personally would have done them differently and with loads of pop, but I suppose the fact is that he already has termies paintied like this and didn't want anything to make his squads look eclectic!
