I must vent to an understanding audience before I kill my cat.

I was putting the finishing touches on a chaos lord on daemon mount which I have been working on all week. He just needed a little spray sealer. I don't spray indoors so I stepped out on to the front porch to spray. Simple enough. My task completed I needed only to walk back indoors and set him by an open window to dry.

Suddenly! and without warning, my stupid cat decides he wants to come in too, and the best route was apparently between my feet! In my foolish effort not to crush the animal I lost control of my spraying box and watched in horror as my figure succumbed to gravity. So now a figure that was finished after days of work is now looking at quite a bit more work to fix all the little nicks and scratches. At least it was a character for a project that is somewhat less important to me than others, but I am still rather distraught.

These are the perils of pets I suppose. I have had cats sleep on figures if I forget to clear them off the table. My dog and cat have both, and multiple occassions, jumped on me while I was painting (you'd think I would learn) and my dad's dog even ate some rather expensive resin terrain.

My incident tonight was not a particularly big deal (but enough to make me curse quite loudly out doors in my fairly quiet neighborhood) but I wonder how many of you have pet related horror stories. Please share!

He also makes sure the light is correct in the photo-booth for my photographs.

Well i havnt had any accidents with animals while im working... My uncle's cat thought likes to sniff around my bits box while its open.. and it tends to consider my large GW case its own personal palaquin while i pick it up..

My cats like to walk all over the board while I am playing a game. They attack the models, move them around, sit on the terrain... One of my cats just loves to put her claws into the little hills. And then go to sleep on them. While we are playing on it.

My cat helps me work on stuff from time to time, but he really prefers keyboards.

My cats hate it when I paint instead of paying attention to them. They will jump on my back in an attempt to get attention.

They also like to drink the brush water when I am not around, so now I have a container with a lid to keep from finding dwarf bronze poop in the litter box.

Our girl cat likes to pick up individual models out of the foam trays and try to run off with them.

I can't buy finecast, I have learned. My cats find it easier to to bury in the litterbox, as it is lighter.

My cat occasionally feels the need to hide one of my miniatures, but I eventually find it, a few years later.

I have a puppy that loves to try and steal mini's and sprues.

My cat likes to play Godzilla when I walk away from the painting table. She is quite good and basing dreadnaughts then batting them around the floor like a play mouse.

While I find the above picture of Pika Cat hysterical... I can only imagine that Cat wanting to kill its owner while they are sleeping.

Both my cats drink the painting/brush water from the water cup on my painting table.

Every time I paint I have to bring two cups of water, one to wash brushed in and one kept clean so the little buggers can drink clean water while I´m painting.

My cat died last year and so I am currently without one.

My cats are actually completely disinterested in my models.

Probably from the one time it was hanging around a bit while I was priming a few, the sound of the can scared it across the street for an hour or so.

The other is too old to care about anything but food and sleeping.

My cat only bothers me when I'm detailing and then she headbutts my brush hand as hard as she can as often as she can. When I finally pay attention she purrs sits on my leg and goes to sleep, until I pick up the paint brush anyway

The cats on these pictures are awesome and I like the idea of photographing them with wargaming models.
My cat didn't bother me at all while I was painting but tried to drink water for my brushes. My Eldar Gyrinx was also inspired by him:

I can't speak to cat problems, most of my gamer buddies are dog people. But if I take projects to my dad's place, I have to be careful, there's two Jack Russel Terriers aka manifestations of the fifth Chaos God FriskyFuzzyFangy.

That's my feline above, once in a while he actually squeezes between the paint storage containers, causing them to spin and paint pots to go all over the place. Literally putting his furry butt 'through the wringer'

If he wasn't cute, I would have gotten rid of him long ago. he seems to know the exact right time when you are feeling bad to want to play fetch.

K black cat is my fav so far. More kitties please. and i really hope that the poor kitten wasn't actually dyed yellow, if so thats just mean.

Ok I had just recently made a tyranid heirophant form FW and i decide to on its base make like a little hill where a sound box was hidden and made nid sounds for DoW well my doy was walking by and was sniffing it so I decided to makes the sounds go off to scare her but what she did was went on a mauling spree breaking it in half were it was not to be broken and continued to rip it apart with her mouth.......the dog slept outside.....

My cats seem to be very interested in my models. One of my cats, Oscar, seems to be very afraid of my Eldar Avatar......

One of my four cats, or possibly more than one, will mess with stuff on my desk. Water cups knocked over, figs knocked to the floor and broken, cat hair on the photo backdrop, ect. I don't know which one it is because they're smart enough not to do it while I'm home.

Their two favorite things over the years has been guitar string and Uncharted ships wrapped in bubble wrap. Both of those items made it to the other end of the house.

As far as messing with you while painting, I've got one that will make use of my horrible hunched over posture while painting to sit on the back of my head.
