Morning, I'm up to five! No paint however, bad times.

Havoc with a missile launcher made from a Slaanesh Champion..... well thats what is said on his base tab, sensual Flyman anyone?

Flies are surely a nurgle thing but here we go!

Thanks guys! I'll have to get the paint brush out, running a build one paint one strategy.

Threw a bit of paint on the Fly with the rocket, struggled a bit with him to be honest, he is just about there.

Anyway here is the progress, tried my hand at a bit of freehand on his pad, but luckily its mostly coverd by the launcher I'll finish off his base and move on to number 6!

Just to add a little fun I'm thinking about using the old slaves to darkness book for some of my models….



As I'm sure you’re aware, this book has an awesome section on random mutations, mutations from the fantastic to the down right silly! So for my next marine I think I’ll throw him at the mercy of these charts…. Lets hope I don’t roll “silly voice” mutation!!

Okay so I’m giving the random personal attribute table from Slaves to darkness a go. So let fate decide my next Marine.

I rolled 3 times in the end, rolling a d1000 I got-

887 – Teleport (I decided to roll again)

866 – Technology – (84) – Chainsword (I decided to roll again)

837 – Skull face.

I stopped there; I thought that was enough to go on! All 800’s!

If you can check out the table, it is a good read. It is online somewhere…

Cool to see some more old-skool stuff being used too, and love that you're rolling on the classic d1000 table, takes me back to being a teen

Hey thanks monkeytroll, well spotted about the first guy, didnt know how it came out on camera!


I've finished converting the first of the randomly rolled marines (with only a slight bit of cheating, teleport was to hard!).





I kind of went a bit over the top on the Skullface roll and made him a bit more undeady, and raided an ork sprue for his chain sword arm. I spent far to long on his head and I dont know how it looks on film, still you may get a better idea when he is painted up!

At the moment I'm painting the pink horror headed marine, before rolling another random marine, fun time ahead!!

I am aproaching enough marines done to try something a little bit fun. I love Vindicator tanks so using these parts below I may have a play after I have made a few more marines



Vindicator, hell cannon bits and a beast of nurgle- I'm thinking of some twist daemon infested thing.

I'm nearly ready to put an order into to GW, I'm after a spray varnish, can anyone recommend a UK brand? Is the GW varnish any goo?

Okay time to roll up another renegade! Get your copies/print out/photocopies (depending on take on copyright ) of slaves to darkness and your D1000 handy! I think about 3 rolls is enough, but there is no set rules, if he is odd enough after one or two goes I'm happy haha.

Roll 1 - 337, Enormously Fat

Roll 2 - 647, Moronic

Roll 3 - 697, Overgrown body part - Hand

Hey,

I had a free afternoon so I attempted the big handed fat stupid marine, pictures below!









It may make more sense when painted, not sure how it comes across on camera. I used the stupidest looking zombie head and added fattness - I thought it needed some thing more so I grafted a nurgling to his shoulder to give him advice on who to shoot.... being Moronic and all!!

I failed with the hand to be honest, doesnt look any bigger haha!.. well 2 out of 3 isnt to bad!
