Back in the day i loved Epic 40k and Titan Legions. Want to get back into it and remember the hallowed days when GW supported it . I still think theres tons or demand for this game and would like to see how many others are out there.

Not sure if you are specifically talking about tournaments, but I will always 100% support Epic in any form.
We have had an Epic tournament 3 out of the last 4 years at AdeptiCon and will have another on in 2012. Sadly they are always smaller affairs, but we'd gladly make more room if people were interested.

I'd like to see Epic again, but only if it's existance didn't hinder the 40k production engine. It would, and if they brought it back I don't think they'd support it correctly. I wish they had their gak straight so they could have the manpower to do more than 3 things at once.

Honestly, not sure about demand for it except from us diehards. The stuff they have just doesn't sell at my local. And I'm talking about old stuff, not just Epic: Armageddon repacks and sculpts.

Space Marine/titan Legions= YES!
Epic 40,000= HELL no!
The old rules were awesome. When they re-released it and made it scaled down 40K it sucked. A shame too because the re-vamped models were (Epically?!) great.

Of course I voted yes (and I can't believe that anyone who has played the system and enjoyed it would say otherwise).
But, some practical considerations. GW is now currently trying to recreate 'epic' battles in a 28mm scale, with the likes of Apocalypse. You don't buy a small blister pack now with 3 metal tanks in, you buy $150 worth of tank boxes to go on your 4 combined realm of battle game boards. But, Epic was really popular when I was a youngster, I'm sure if it was given proper support and pushed by GW it could become so again, and the relative complexity of the game and tactics involved mean that they might even pull back some of the older gamers who have tired of GW and migrated to other systems.
Sadly, I think there is not a chance in hell of it ever becoming a 'core' game again, unless there is some kind of mass-philanthropist buy out of GW stocks, and we get someone who is genuinely interested in the wishes of hobbyists (rather than dividend payments) in charge of the company

Honestly, I want to see it come back at 15mm scale. I realize it's not technically 'Epic scale', but 15mm allows actual attention to be paid to models when painting but still small enough to have much larger games. Titans would be big, but not huge (Warhounds would probably hit the size of Contemptor Dreads). However, I wouldn't be opposed to 6mm Epic, as long as they didn't take it the lazy way and just re-release their ~20 year old Epic infantry models. A lot of their range has changed drastically since then.

I say no - Epic Armageddon is a great game as it is, and I wouldn't want current GW to mess that up.
Besides, why would GW bring back Epic? It doesn't sell models, and they're already trying to recreate those large scale battles (unsuccessfully, IMHO) with Apocalypse - where you'll spend a lot more money that the $50 for that eBay auction for 4000 pts of Epic Orks.

Me too! I always loved the rules, I just hated the 6mm miniatures. It was like painting grains of rice. My wish would be a sort of halfway point between epic and current 40K, with somewhat streamlined rules (Get rid of the "to-wound" roll already!) and retain the flavor of the existing armies. It would be the best game GW ever put out if they did it right. (I know, too much to ask... )

I'd say start supporting the current Epic:A, which is better ruleset than its previous incarnations.
As for the models, 6mm is better than 15mm. Why? You can have a lot more models on table with 6mm thus allowing more enjoyable game. 15mm is starting to restrict the game size too much.

The longer GW doesnt touch something, the better it is (Necromunda, Mordheim, in fact almost all their specialist range......except frigging Inquisitor)
I'll agree that 6mm though should be kept, its micro for a reason (plus all those random companies make "not 6mm 40k" stuff for cheap)

I voted yes.
I love epic - I would prefer Space Marine personally, but hey, epic is epic.
What I would like to see is new moulds for some of the models, as they are, according to some getting pretty ropey now (eg Leman Russ Company). I would also like to see the all available models released for all forces (particularly Tyranids & chaos). FW should also keep their word and re-release all the epic stuff they made.
I doubt any of this will ever happen, but it would be cool if it did.

Otherwise I'll feel the urge to spend too much of my time into the restoration of my old plastic hunchback-Warlords.

I thought Epic was a nice idea back in the day, but don't support a return for a couple of reasons.
a) the models are too small. And if they can't be painted to look awesome, well, that eliminates half the fun of the hobby.
b) it seems too much like 40K or Apocalypse. I don't know how many folks would feel like "re-collecting" their 40K army in the epic scale just to play a really similar game.
What I COULD see would be, maybe, the release of a boxed set. Kind of like D&D did with their Ravenloft Boxed Set. Include a bajillion plastic pieces in there and leave it at that.
As mentioned, I liked the idea of Epic, but it just seems to have too much overlap with the existing (and more popular) 40K.

If you take a look through the rules for E:A, you'll see that it has some parts in common with 40k, but it's a far superior game. And Apocalypse is merely 40k with more models.

My very first GW boxed game was Titan Legions, and I'd love to see a revival in that vein. My favourite aspect was the datacard system for the largest titans+gargants, where you controlled power levels to various systems and moved around crew inside to defend it from boarding actions.
The biggest drawback with the old game was the simpler models of the time, with monopose titans and repetitive infantry. GW's advances in plastic molding since then could do wonderful things with the Epic range.
It's sad they've left it behind, as Epic was the source of inspiration for a good portion of units around in 28mm format today.

If they redid Epic the first thing I'd do is remake my 40k Tyranids in it, unit for unit. Then expand it immensely. That way I could play Epic with my whole horde, or a 'zoomed in' battle in 40k or Apocalypse with my 40k horde.

Failcast copies of the outdated models for three times the cost and half the armies/options with no models or badly dated old sclulpts? No thanks...
