so that's 15.

Vassal is 2 more actually so you can wait until 25, but I think he's better than the order of the fist guy.

I recommend Vassal+Reckoner as your next purchase. After that, unit time. My personal recommendation is the Temple Flameguard, or Exemplar Errants, but you can't really go wrong with any of them.

Temple flameguard and exemplar errants if you like playing the defensive "come get me" game. (Use ark nodes and errants to project fire forcing the enemy to come to you).

Knights errant and Seneschals and possible Gravus if you like taking the offense. Careful of outpacing your jacks to much though, they are slow.

It's better to use the Faction decks or books whenever possible to construct lists.


Those army builders are known to have errors from time to time. If you're going to use one at least double-check with the source material to make sure it's accurate.

Based on how many times Idrians make it into winning tourney lists, not only are they not good, they are actually terrible.

Bottom line, they're pretty expensive for what you actually get. They compete with Exemplar Errants at a premium, and give you almost nothing except for a CRA over the EEs.

how good are deliverers/ what is their playing style? specificly the sunburst

Deliverers are good with pKreoss for the feat turn. The Sunburst is kinda meh. It's good, there's just usually alot of other things you want to take for those three points.

So what would be good instead of the Sunburst?
I want to take 'Jacks down from range now as my friend who plays Cygnar has the black 13th

Menoth isn't going to be much good at taking down jacks from range; their shooting is more about clearing infantry and assassination vectors.

So what is the sunburst?

or is it weak with a big AOE?

It's a bolt thrower that shoots explosive tipped bolts. It is classified as a unit. It's POW 16, so it will damage a heavy but it's not going to kill it on it's own (or even cause any serious damage on average rolls). A POW 8 AoE will do a number on lightly armored infantry.

The drawback to it is that it's basically one shot per turn for 3 points in a faction that has no problems generating AoE attacks.

A Reckoner is going to be one of the better shooting platforms Menoth will field.

Vassal+Choir+Reckoner

P&S 15 shots at Rat7, the Vassal will give you a second shot at effective Rat9 (when reckoner hits, its target is -2Def) and the Assault ability will give it very long threat ranges.

How many points is the reckoner
because the vassal+choir is 4points meaning that it is already over the points of the sunburst.

You could easily drop one of your light warjacks and take another heavy warjack like the Reckoner in its place.

During our Journeyman I played against the Reckoner+Vassal+Choir for the first time. It quickly convinced me to pick my own Reckoner up. That combo is one of the most effective I've seen. I want to like the Sunburst, I really do because I think the model is kind of cool, but for the 3 points, there are a lot of other things I'd rather have: Eiryss, Rhupert + The Wrack, a Seneschal if I'm running Exemplars/Errants, or finding an extra point for Rhoven and Co.

Correct me if 'm wrong but I have been told that during the journey man campaign you start with the battle group and can not get rid of anything in the battle group.
All the 'jacks I have are in the Battle group so I could not get rid of them.
