Phenomenal work! Azrael has always been one of my favorite GW miniatures. He hearkens back to the good old days when every BAMF character had a banner sticking out of his back.

Thanks!!

Yeah from what I understand banners are pretty old school. I was toying with the idea of putting "samurai" style banners on all my guys at one point, but after doing Azreal here, I am glad I didnt.

@ Cyrex, my skin recipie is so easy you may not even believe it.....I use Vallejo Basic Skin Tone, and GW Ogryn Flesh.....that is it, though on ocassion depending on mood/effect, I might add a little Devlan Mud

@ Million, I only wish I could free hand that well. The banner is part of the model and the deail is modled on. I am flattered that you cant tell though!

Looks so much better than my pos job on azrael. Sadly DA was my first army and I don't feel like going back and fixing crap paint job. I'm just gonna make my necrons look a lot better.

My Armies: 8000 , 3000 , 8000 High Elf, 10000+ and goblin, 5000 Dwarf

My current work blog on what I am painting.http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/410840.page

Beautiful work. The face reminds me a bit of a Moral Oral character, mixed with something epicly awesome. The banner details are epicly well done. Great job.
