I'm building an Inquisitorial army under Coteaz, and could use a little advise. What are some good models to use for psykers, and death cult assassins? I'm a fair hand at converting, and am looking for a starting place. Are there any good fantasy models I should be checking out?

I would look at the Empire Flagellents from the Warhammer Fantasy line.

You say that I am crazy. I say that you are right!

There's also a whole bunch of Forgeworld stuff that could work

Does it have to be GW based?

EM4 has a variety of figures that suit inquisition henchmen; metal, nicely sculpted, a bit small compared to GW, but not noticeably so.
Second city games.co.uk carry a lot of the old VOID range, some of those may suit you?
Ramshackle games' figures can be a bit hit and miss, but for price can't be beaten.
Look at elves/high elves/empire if you must use GW.
Pardulon in Germany do some good "modern" figures, while for fantasy models there's a huge firm in France--who's name I've conveniently forgotten DOH!

Well, if you have read Eisenhorn, you know that Inquisitional retinue can look like anything.
Every second SciFi line has leather chicks with blades that might pass as death cultists and civilians that might pass as a psyker.
This becomes harder if you want GW-only models. Can't tell you more before you say GW-only or not.

GW only, try Mordheim figures, or Necromunda, or search "40K oop" on ebay.

Oh, that French firm, FENRYLL MINIATURES: nice, if pricey, range of stuff . Go see at Fenryll.com

Thanks for the suggestions. I would like to stick with GW, but only for travel purposes. I feel no loyalty to them, but I do want to play my models anywhere I may end up.

Get some fantasy bits (Empire, Wood Elves, Chaos) and mix them up and see what comes out. Adding 40k stuff to fantasy looks great alot of times, because its usually not very similar.

Then play the official ones. They are not bad.
