Transaction was for one 5th Edition 40K rulebook - $25.00
Sent postal money order (as it is my only option at this time) on 10/25/11. augustus5 informed me that he had received it on 11/1/11. Was told that the book would be shipped on 11/5/11.
On 11/10/11 I sent a PM asking if the book had been shipped. He replied and stated that it was sent out with 5 other shipments, but he had received it back on as it was mislabeled. Was told that it would get shipped expedited mail that afternoon. He was apologetic, and gave me an alternate email and phone number in case I had any questions.
Sent PMs (and emails to alternate address) on 11/17/11 and 11/22/11 (also called phone number and left message)...no word, nothing.
On 11/22/11 I sent him my final letter stating that unless I get either the book or my money by the end of today I would be opening a mail fraud case with the USPS. Nothing, no reply.

It might be time to follow through here. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Good luck.

Absolutely. I am starting up a case right now.
Thanks, it will teach me to never use a money order again. For ANY reason.

I used to use money orders all the time. Never had a problem. Good luck with resolving this, but don't rule MOs out entirely.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Due to work, I can usually only ship any sales or trades out on Saturday morning. Please trade/purchase with this in mind. |

Yea, lack of communication is almost always indicative of a scam or something.
I mean I've had trades where I take a week or two to get something shipped, but I've apprised the people I was dealing with of the situation every step of the way.
I can tolerate excuses, as long as there is constant communication, I don't feel like I'm being ripped off.

That's why I didn't get the feeling I was getting scammed right away. The seller was apologetic, very communicative and gave me alternate contact information even after my money order was cashed. I started up a mail fraud case with the USPS, so hopefully I might see some sort of resolution.
timetowaste85: maybe I was being a bit hasty with the statement about MOs, I just wish there was a bit more protection with them.

I am surprised this is still unresolved (BStone just replied to my PM asking about its' status saying so) given that augustus5 was rather active on this site. However, his last post is from mid-November... you may want to try alternate contact methods if you have that information.
Augustus5, if you do log on please respond to this thread with your status in resolving this.

I know that this hasn't been updated in a long time, but I wanted to make sure the record was cleared. I have been contacted by agustus5, and we are in the process of rectifying this situation.

This has been resolved. augustus5 came through on his end, and made well on his part.
