Subject: Black Friday Gone Wild (again). Injuries, damage, general craziness.
This video of an opening at Urban Outfitters in CA is scary. And at least 24 people were injured at WalMarts this year. Did you get trampled on Black Friday?
This happens just about every year at WalMart. When are they going to learn and start doing Black Friday differently?
Shopping from home is much safer and more convenient. The War Store has an amazing Black Friday sale this year with lots of extreme markdowns as well as the regular deeper than usual discount. It is still going on till 9 PM tonight. Details at: http://www.thewarstore.com/blackfridaymadness.html

I'll never, ever take part in a black friday raid. This year, 99.8% of my black friday was spent in front of Skyrim on my big plasma TV, with a pizza by my side.
I'll be getting all my gifts this year at local kinda small shops this year, or just online.

On black friday I was playing as Batman and kicking Riddler's ass.

I could have gone out to the country with family... but FETH country. It's dirty and has flies everywhere and smells of horse crap.
So I fixed them some food and said "tell the kids it's from me" and stayed at home where it's nice and fresh and not full of nasty flies. I already spent three days watching the brats anwyay and wanted some me time lol...

Or god forbid they actually organize it. I know it seems crazy but we actually went out this year and Target (ordered all the stuff I needed off of bestbuy earlier in the day) had people lined up probably half a mile long when it opened. Guess what...no one was trampled. they let in 30 people every 20 seconds or so to create some space. Walked the line to let people know that's what they were doing, and there were zero problems. But I'm in Minnesota so that probably makes a difference. Don't think I'd ever try and hit up best buy/walmart/or target in SoCal.

Yeah, I've worked at walmart, and the difference between wal-mart and, say, best buy is IMMENSE. Wal-mart just says "doors are open, come on in"....

I'll never understand your nation and why it goes so fething crazy every year to the point that;
- 20+ people get pepper sprayed by an angry mum
- store employie gets trampled to death
- people start shooting guns
- mothers start beating the crap out of eachother over some elmo toy
- small riots break out in the rush to be 'the first' to enter a store
Seriously? Is Black Friday the only day on the US calander where stores offer discounts?!!
Granted my country all but shuts down for a single gold medal hockey game!

I had to evacuate the Wal-Mart I was in Friday morning so the bomb squad could go in.
Fun times. Fuuuuun times.
There are some who walk until their legs fail them and they fall to the ground. I find that respectable.
Then there are those who drag themselves further. I find that admirable.

Only 24 people? Out of the hundred million who probably went to stores? I think the injuries on black Friday are overstated. A dozen people probably suffer injuries at stores in the US every day. I've honestly always thought it was odd injuries weren't higher.
The only problem with Black Friday is that everyone in the US for some odd reason decides to go shopping on the same day. How the heck does that happen anyway?

I had to work on Black Friday, so I missed all the craziness...I did go and pick up BF3 at Wal Mart after work though...I just couldn't pass up a brand new game for $28!
