Constructive critisism is appreciated, but only if its for improvements! because last time i asked for contstructive critisism and all i got was "WOW YOU FRIKING SUCK YA' DIPSIT!" so please only good criticism.... =_= please im begging you.... i know by saying this i'm gonna get a bunch of people saying that....

The Gold doesn't mix well with the blue, light white or grey might do better.

Let me enlighten you a bit...I can understand why you may be put off by CC, some people really don't know how to lay it down without being blunt. Unfortunately,asking for complements only wont help you improve in some cases, complements are like those golden star stickers we all used to find right next to our good grades as kids...it takes practice to get those

Moving on, it looks like you are on the right track like most have already said, you could paint the carapace from vermin brown, then bleached bone over it, and a good wash of Devlan mud. The skin can be washed with assurmen blue, as it would give it more depth, something which is needed here.

Give it a go and post some pictures, and remember...practise makes perfect

I saw pics of someone who's kids were brown on top and blue on the bottom so I'm not gonna steal their colors anyways :3 but please don't take this as me being rude i truly appreciate the help (:

I'd just like to say if you don't want Criticism don't post on Dakka, but I'd just suggest changing the colours slightly.

nice paintjob although i wouldn't paint the rims of the bases blue.. but that's just opinion

I played nids for a while, I was terrible at getting that many bugs painted.

You might want to try taking pictures of a few at a time with some better lighting and a solid back ground (though im not really one to talk, my pictures are pretty bad). I would suggest painting the rim of the bases black. A light blue dry brush, and a wash of some kind, a dark blue or dark brown wash.

Its looking good so far, keep up the good work =)

Everyone needs critisisim, without it you can't Learn and while it may seem harsh at first it's needed to become better.

Please do not edge your bases the same colour as your minis. This is a Bad Idea.

For advice - you might want to pick the weapon symbiotes out in a different colour. Those termagants would look a lot better and a lot more "finished" if the devourers were a different colour, for example.

The devourers are a different color... its really hard to see cause of the camera. They are heather blue, while the flesh is crystal blue.
and i really like my blue bases :3
